Beautiful traditional country pub with outstanding views from the fabulous beer garden. Food is exceptional and very well priced. Good range of drinks from the bar with a fantastic kept cellar (the taste of the lagers and ales shows this). Sunday dinner is a must always piping hot and delicious. Portions are big and the meat is so tender with Yorkshire puds to die for. Fabulous choice of homemade desserts to finish. The pub may be old but the interior is up to date but in keeping with the character. Spotlessly clean and a very well kept beer garden with its very own stream. Traditonal coal fire roaring on the cold winter days. Staff are efficient and friendly and seem nothing is too much trouble. Dog friendly and the staff make such a fuss of them with bowls of water and a doggy treat. Highly recommended by locals aswel and you can see why.

Last minute booking as staying in the area. Not much choice around that was dog friendly. We did previously go to the fairy falls but that is now indian restaurant and don't do dog meals anymore. But we have now found a better place for food in y Bedol. I had the fillet steak with peppercorn sauce. So tasty. Asked for medium rare, got medium rare. I really enjoyed my meal. My wife went for the chicken kebab, which she really liked too. Food was tasty. The service was really nice and friendly. We had a small dog and he was welcome. Nowhere does dog meals but we got sausage mash and gravy to take away for him. I would highly recommend this pub.

So happy me and my partner came here after we arrived in Snowdonia. We stayed at a hotel nearby but there wasn't much food choice so we came here, and so glad we did. They had a good range of pub food and was cooked to perfection! The staff were also very friendly and hardworking. Highly reccommend this place!

I visited this pub on March 2nd 2013 prior to walking up Carnedd Llewelyn. I was hoping to get a spot of lunch and a couple of scoops first. I was told there was a private function on that evening so the kitchen was closed. I asked if they had any food, such as a pickled egg. He went and checked in the kitchen and said they could nock me up a quick sandwich. It was perfect, with a great salad dressing & garnish accompaniment. Don't be put off by the derisory reviews you can read about this place; the landlord was friendly and his wife (also the chef) has worked for a variety of wealthy clients and obviously knows her stuff.

They were similarly apologetic to others who had turned up on spec. Give them a try, I shall certainly go there again whilst walking over this part...

Visited this pub last night after reading all the good reviews Unfortunately the phone lines were down I didnt know until i took to facebook to contact them. We arrived and found out they could only take cash due to phone problem which afftected their internet Anyway we rushed to Llanwrst to get some cash and back again. It was worth the hassle as we like others ordered the Tbone steak with homemade chips. Wow it was amazing the most tender steak iv ever tasted followed by the crispiest chips and onion rings

I opted to have dessert and chose homemade bread and butter pudding In total it was about £62.00 including a glass of wine and beer Service was very attentive Would eat here...
