Technically, this place is our local, but weâd not visited before, we were passing so my wife, young son and I popped in for a drink. We found The Brickmakers to be unfriendly and unwelcoming; not so much as an âHelloâ from the staff.
After a while someone came over saying, âNo kids after 9 oâclockâ, what would have cost to have said, âHi guys, welcome, nice to see you. Iâm afraid we donât allow children after 9, is that OK?â Just a little basic customer service?
Oh, and the beers arenât great, all the standard stuff you can find everywhere, nothing special and no real ales. The locks on the cubicles in the gentâs toilets were both broken, the hand dryer didnât work and there were no paper towels.

   Read moreWent in today with my partner for a drink and we over heard this young lady that had just started working for them being told that she wouldnât be payed for her work then said she wasnât right for the position due to her lack of skills when she did mine and my partners drinks and there wasnât a problem with either of them while we were their then the lady behind the bar began to tell all the customers who was sitting at the bar that she was âuselessâ and couldnât do anything I never review places but I think itâs disgusting that people can not pay someone for there work itâs the law would never go there again...
