One of the most unpleasant experiences I have ever had whilst ordering a takeaway.
The lady at the door who was restricting the amount of people in the shop due to social distancing, was very efficient and did her job properly.(3 customers max at any time)
Unfortunately every other member of the restaurant fell well short of any professionalism and quite frankly aren’t worthy of employment if their behaviour tonight is anything to go by.
I waited outside the shop for five minutes after the lady explained that no more than three customers can be inside at any one time and then was asked to come in as one customer left. I ordered my food and was told to wait in a specific place due to social distancing.
All of a sudden myself and the other customers heard this loud gut wrenching choking from the kitchen Followed by the sound of someone violently throwing up repeatedly. No one could actually believe what were hearing and the lady on security went running in to see what had happened only to come walking out and casually tell us all that ‘her colleague was having a joke and pretending to be sick’.
I couldn’t quite believe what I was hearing.
All of a sudden a friend of one of the men behind the counter came bustling in, ignoring the fact that there were already the maximum allowed number of people in the shop. The staff member who was serving someone, walked away whilst the customer was in mid sentence and spent three or four minutes chatting loudly in Gujarati with his friend whilst the queue outside the shop built up and it was only when the lady on security told him to stop chatting to his friend and carry on serving customers, did he stop.
His friend (and possibly an employee who was off duty) then walked across my path pushing me out the way by barging me with his shoulder and rucksack. I explained that rather than keep his social distance from me, he had actually pushed me out the way to which he denied making any contact with me.
As I walked out of the shop I turned back to find all the staff and this gentleman laughing together at what had just happened.
I’ve never been to this branch before and only did so as my son asked me to get him some food and I still can’t quite believe the experience I’ve...
Read moreThere are some difficulties running this place due to :
the overall space in not big enough because of the limited space, customers that are in the line waiting to order to the staff at the till, are arguing with the customers who want to order through the machines because the first ones believe that the second ones take over their priority. This doesn't happen in any other KFC (or even another well-known fast-food brand) store where the machines are far away from the till. They are independent. Again, small space + less staff + crowded Watford St albans Rd = slow service No complaints about the staff, been there a lot of times, they are doing their best
Ah yeah I forgot the main topic, the food. Good for what it is, just too salty for me but I guess that is what is...
Read moreCouldn’t organise a party in a brewery. Visited when not busy. Ordered via machine. Asked the lady behind the counter to ensure fresh fries. She locked blankly at me so I repeated the request. She replied in very broken English that fries are fresh. As we were waiting for our order she proceeded to put bags that were already sitting filled into the order. When I asked her to actually use fresh fries she rolled her eyes!!! Upon getting my food home she had also put the wrong sized sides in the bag forcing me to return. When I asked the same lady for the correct sides, she simply didn’t understand.
Complete shambles. Shudder to think what they’d be like when there is...
