Kingswood cafe — Restaurant in Watford

If you’re after somewhere with friendly, smiley, attentive staff - go elsewhere! The 2 ladies working in there looked as though they hated their job - either that or they hate people/customers! My husband ordered a Set 1 breakfast and I said I’d have the same and a tea - well the waitress misunderstood and thought I only wanted a tea so only made a breakfast or my husband. After 5 minutes he then had to ask for his missing toast and tell them my breakfast was missing, to which there wasn’t much said, so they had to make mine from scratch and only brought my husbands toast when mine was ready, by which time, he’d almost finished his breakfast. Oh and while we were waiting for the food,the waitress made sure to sit down and have her own breakfast,knowing my husband was waiting for his toast for 10 minutes! I woke up in my hangover with a craving for a fry up. I found this local cafe and forced myself out of bed! This was gonna be awesome. The cafe is modern yet comfy cafe with provisions for children... the fry up was in line with what I'd expect. Cooked quickly. The let down cane with a bit it of confusion over the order and price but it was handled quickly. I felt there was a bit of miscommunication and lack of candour in the level customer services. Unprofessional staff. The waitress who served us was extremely rude. Doesn’t know the words “thank you, please, sorry, good morning”. She messed up our order as she brought 3 cups of latte instead of 2 latte and a tea, and when we dare to mentioned that she was upset. She also spilled the latte as she just threw it on the table.
