I enjoyed eating there. When you eat in, you have 3 complimentary sauces (chilli, mint and very finely diced onions and coriander mix) with poppadoms. I used to be a regular customer but then their food standards dropped. So much spice that you couldnt taste the actual food item! I stopped going and after 2 years went back. My first 2 visits were for mix grills, kebabs and keema naan which tasted really nice. But on my 3rd and 4th visit i didnt enjoy atall. Ordered kebabs, prawns, curry, naans and keema naan. Curry wasnt good. Keema naan had been made into a swirl (many areas of naan there was no keema), jumbo king prawns tasted horrible. It seems they had been pre boiled, then heated in a microwave and green coriander green chilli sauce poured over them. Prawns required alot of effort to cut and chew. They were 10.50£. (I think) naan was cold and the kebabs were small in size and dry. I have seen 2 chefs cooking at the front. I believe because of this there is no consistency in producing good quality food and consistent taste every time. Each chef is doing what he thinks is right. When you order for takeaway, you get given a bag of 'salad'. This consists of thick and thin slices of red onions, few slices of tomatoes and few slices of cucumber. Mainly it is all onions. If you wish to give the customer a complimentary salad, make it a good salad otherwise don't. If you ask for lettuce, there's a charge for that whether you are taking it away or eating in. This has remained the same over the years since it opened. I think i will not be going again for...

Authentic Flavors and Great Value, But Service Needs Polish I recently dined at a local Pakistani restaurant in Watford and walked away thoroughly impressed by the quality and authenticity of the food. If you're searching for genuine subcontinental cuisine, this place truly delivers. The cooking here is genuinely delicious, carrying a depth of flavor that speaks to true authenticity. A major highlight of the meal was the naan bread; it arrived at the table piping hot and incredibly fresh—clearly baked moments before. Beyond the flavor, the value is exceptional. The portions are generous, meaning you get a satisfying, hearty meal without breaking the bank. Everything on the menu felt reasonably priced given the quality and size of what we received, making it a fantastic option for a weeknight dinner or a larger family gathering. The only small drawback was the service experience. While every member of the team we interacted with was polite and friendly, the staff generally need to be a bit more attentive. We often found ourselves waiting or having to flag someone down for things like drinks refills or clearing plates. Improving this small aspect of table service would elevate the dining experience significantly. Verdict: Highly recommended for food lovers and those who appreciate great value. The delicious, authentic meals and fresh naan make it a must-try; just be prepared to signal for service when...

Had such a disappointing meal here yesterday. This used to be my go-to place in Watford but the standards have dropped significantly. Went there on a Sunday afternoon and were the only people there, but with staff mostly pre-occupied with take-outs, service was minimal.

Tandoori stuff is still OK as they HAVE to cook it fresh, but the curries were clearly microwaved - Lamb Karahi was cold when it came out and tasted... well, wrong - and the Chicken Tikka was made with gone-off yoghurt and tasted of cheese and metal. Both I and the 15 year old who ordered felt immediately sick after trying it. I feel like I should inform the council before they actually kill someone.

Nothing seemed to have been checked or tasted by the chef which is just baffling. Nan breads tasted like breadsticks and clearly shop-bought - £3.95 for a peshwari nan which was basically dessicated coconut shoved in a corner shop nan bread was unacceptable. I mean how hard can it be.

What's worse I complained they really didn't seem that bothered - knocked the tikka but it almost felt as if they were doing me a favour, no apology or offer to refund or freshly cook anything. It's like they just don't care any more.

In summary, DO...

We ordered keema naan, tilapia fish, seekh kebab, plain naan and chicken bhuna. Food was delicious. Kebab and chicken bhuna were on the spicy side but very flavoursome and well portioned/priced. The fish was excellent, nicely seasoned and soft. The keema naan was ok. We got pistachio kulfis for dessert which were also nice. Well worth a visit and will be coming again.

Quantity of samosa was kids portion, I had chicken and have got food poisoning, I would like a refund I paid £20 via Uber eats. Despicable service, manager phone was rude on call. Seriously not on, I mistakenly ordered when I should've ordered from Lahore Northwood, my instincts were right.
