Ver warm welcome by Emma, you pay when you check in , which wasnāt a problem. Room was on first floor, going up the stairs they have paintings by local artists for sale! The room itself was clean, bed lovely and comfortable, we had the room at the back so was very quiet. You got the usual tea, coffee and added bonus small pack of biscuits and small bottle of water. The en-suite was also very clean and toiletries were provided. Continental breakfast was included but for an extra charge there was a small selection of cooked breakfast. Can highly recommend the full English, everything cooked exactly as I like it and reasonably priced. Itās about 15/20 minutes from Lewis by car, where thereās a good selection of shops and restaurants. The pub also does food in the evenings, small selection of good quality pub food . There is a car park at side of pub.Thereās also a shop in the pub , good in case youāve forgotten anything! This place is one of the friendliest places Iāve stayed in , made to feel extremely welcome by...

My fiancées burger was raw in the middle, and when I told the man behind the bar (who said he was the owner) he wasn't interested in the slightest. His reply was "that's how people like them" but he didn't even come to look at the burger for himself. A disappointing first night to our holiday, and a waste of £130.
I did not understand why the pub is called The Blacksmiths Arms, and yet on the receipt and bank statement its says The Black Lion.
