The only downside is the potatoes which are a bit chewy, I guess from being cooked and kept warm or reheated but overall the food is really good. On this occasion, after having our roast we waited 20mins for a server to offer desserts, no one came so we asked someone if we could order them. They brought us menus and never returned, another 20mins passed and we gave up. This time going to the bar to ask for the bill as there was no one about to request this either. A table in the same room went to get their bill and another had to get up and ask someone to take their order. There didn't seem to be an issue with staffing as plenty were about when we first ordered and several stuck their head out of the kitchen but never actually came out to speak to the customers. We were a group of 4 and would have ordered more drinks and puddings if someone served us (another £40-50) - instead we went to a supermarket and picked one up for home! Would return but service...

Bit of a sarky comment about the ketchup and chips. Probably not the best way to reply to your customers. I will be ensuring people I know don't visit your establishment due to the poor customer relation skills you have evidently shown.

Cosy pub in the quiet village of Berwick. Car-park at the far rear of the pub grounds. No lighting along the path there so a little difficult when you come out late at night.
Food was nothing special - the chips were pretty tasteless and the ketchup to accompany the food was pretty poor.
