What a lovely surprise this place was. Super cosy with loads of charm, and the quirkiest collection of teapots I’ve ever seen—everywhere you look there’s something cute to spot. It’s got a proper village feel to it, like somewhere you'd want to become a regular.
The staff were so friendly and welcoming, just really kind people who make you feel at ease straight away.
Breakfast was amazing. Proper butcher’s sausages and bacon, full of flavour. The tomatoes and mushrooms were seasoned with oregano and honestly, it just lifted the whole plate. I went for the veggie sausages—pretty sure they were McCartney ones—but they went perfectly with the herby veggies. Everything tasted really thought-through and comforting.
There were also loads of delicious-looking pasties and pies on offer. I didn’t get to try one this time, but I’ll absolutely be back for those.

We arrived at about 11:20 and we’re at first told we wouldn’t be able to get a breakfast, but once the staff realised their mistake they were so friendly and accommodating and managed to squeeze in our order despite meaning they would have to work a little later in the kitchen. Same company as the pub next door if you wanted to have a sit down meal (had a very nice homemade pie and new pots and veg for £9.95). All around, good old fashioned friendly pub grub....
