One star is not only too generous; it's an insult to the entire star-rating system. I don't know where to begin, but let's start with the hard truth: I would rather eat airline food served by a mime than ever step foot in this establishment again.
Today, my wife and I made the mistake of trying their breakfast. My so-called "breakfast burrito" was a culinary crime against humanity. It was clearly microwaved and assembled with the enthusiasm of a TSA agent. It was less a breakfast burrito and more a hostile, dense collection of disappointment shoved into a tortilla.
The absolute worst offender? The potatoes. There was enough starchy filler in that single wrap to run a McDonald's for a month or fill a retaining wall. It was a potato excavation, not a breakfast. My wife's baguette followed, and while it was merely joylessly dry—a standard disappointment—it was utterly overshadowed by the pure, offensive failure of the burrito. The baguette was bad, but the burrito was an unforgettable atrocity.

Read moreAngels Cafe is becoming the go to cafe for aviation enthusiasts and locals alike at Mildenhall. I've been a semi regular visitor for a number of years now and yesterday's visit has left me hungry for another excuse to come back. There are no negatives about this cafe. It is clean, comfortable, the food is freshly cooked, delicious and raises the bar for breakfast. Sausages and bacon are clearly better quality than average. Their sauté potatoes are a must. There is a huge range of breakfast and lunch options and reading other reviews their popular breakfast burritos are popular for a reason. The staff are friendly, welcoming and yet unintrusive and clearly care about the customers and about making the place a success. That's a win/win for me. Support...
