Fat Lolly Sam's — Restaurant in Wirral

Don't order from here it's not worth the hassle. Extremely poor customer service. This is the first time I've actually complained about a takeaway online. The owner who writes the replies on Just Eat has a very sarcastic, immature and unprofessional attitude. They seem to speak to customers in any way that they wish. The mocking and patronising response left by the owner to us and other customers on Just Eat has left us angry and shocked. They also twisted the truth. This is what actually happened:

We ordered some main meals and pancakes for dessert. The meals arrived but the driver forgot our pancakes. The driver wasn't especially apologetic but said he'd go back for them. We also didn't realise that the small pot of mayo we'd requested would cost us 50p to hand over to the driver at the door and didn't have cash so sent him back with it.

We called the restaurant and they said he'd be back with the pancakes. We asked for the charge for the mayo to be waived due to the inconvenience which eventually they agreed with.

When we got the pancakes they tasted horrible. They tasted of some kind of detergent. We put a review on just eat and got a nasty...

3 hours and counting for 2 x chips and milkshakes. Ordered at 6pm. Given 19.40 estimated delivery. Left it until 20.15 and rang, was told 20 minutes. It's now 45 minutes later and nothing. Not even a phone call. I get its busier than usual but they should turn just eat off if they know it's going to take over 3 hours to get an order out. Almost double the time that was estimated. No excuses for that at all. It's now 9pm, we have a baby and need to go to bed, not say about waiting for food we should have had an hour and a half ago. Just rang for an update and been told 20 minutes (Haha can't make this up), drivers are being blamed now. 4 orders ahead of mine. Disgusting customer service and a hygiene rating of 2 - "Improvement necessary".

Although their menu sounds very enticing, I would seriously avoid this place unless you like rude staff, hours of waiting and sub-par food. Our food was, as everyone else in the reviews says, over an hour late: If the shop are as overwhelmed as they claim on JustEat reviews, maybe they should hire more staff. The food was rubbish, really salty and some of it soggy, but the staff's attitude was way worse. I've never seen a restaurant have so many bad reviews! Won't bother...
