Friendly staff on arrival was told you can choose were to sit . We ordered drinks via the app and a starter followed my our main dinner . We did not wait very long for the drinks and then the starter arrived . Very nice, best one we have had in a while . Very nice garden bar with plenty of out door seating with a few open building with table and chairs. This place has some great offers from the menu or via the app . If you join via there app you get a five pounds code to use which was great . I would imagine this place would be very busy at weekends We will be going back soon. 27/04/2023 Visited today with having a new menu. It's gone down hill both starter and main were not nice . Hunters tortillas, and surf and turf both were not up to standards . Very disappointed 😞

A really excellent pub that has three distinct areas. A pub/restaurant area with various tables designed mainly for eating and chatting, a smaller 'snug' area for watching sports or just drinking and chatting (though you can still have food in there I think) and a sports area with pool table and dart board. One pub but numerous different nights/atmospheres. Menu is great and drinks selection really impressive. Only a couple of real ales but a nice IPA and Doom Bar rather than the usual cop outs of John Smith's or Boddingtons.

Came here on a date. Nice atmosphere football on TV, few tables reserved but nice window booths and garden area. Cleanliness is not an issue. Staff respectful and fast service. Nicer than your average weatherspoons. The food was okay, nothing special we enjoyed it (pictures included), hence 3 stars.

I went here yesterday to celebrate my husband and son's birthday and when booking a table, it was very clear over the phone the staff had no clue how to use the system. When we arrived, they wouldn’t take a sealed in the box cake off us due to cross contamination which to an extent I get, but this meant we couldn’t do the cake and candles which was very disappointing for a 6 year old. We then went to order the food and the lady at the counter who was on a laptop at the time possibly trying to figure out how to use it took our order but got it wrong three times, at one point walked away from us without saying anything to go into the kitchen to cancel directly with them. She then continued with the order and while I was ordering my husband put £5 into one of the machines and it swallowed the £5, I told her this and she didn't even address it until I said how does he get his money back. She advised that we would have to claim the money back through the engineer who she would have to call, and she couldn't give us the money back she did ask me for details but at that point I thought what was the point. When the meals came every plate that was brought out, we were told to be careful because the plates were hot even the child's meal. Firstly, why would you bring out a child's meal on a very hot plate surely that's health and safety, as for the rest of the meals being on hot plates that suggests one of two things for me either the plates have been sitting waiting to be served on a hot plate or the meals have been microwaved. Either way the food was not great quality at all one of us had gammon which comes with egg and the egg was not fully cooked. Overall, this was not a pleasurable experience on the food was poor quality; we didn’t complain to them but we were also not asked if everything was ok with the meals by anyone like you normally would. We also were missing items as they hand been put through correctly to the kitchen. Very...

Where do I start, our visit was for my nieces birthday, when I walked in I showed the staff member my blue light card and asked could I still use this as I work for the NHS, he said yes no problem, order my food through the app and he will refund afterward the difference, we sat down and were told we could only order through the app so could not use the sizzling gift cards we had purchased at christmas time. Our food came and the fish was inedible, my niece said it was really chewy, my husbands burger was missing the onion rings and my Gin came in pop glasses which were not suitable for this drink. After our meal we decided to order desserts, we tried to attract the servers attention as my niece wanted cream instead of ice-cream with her dessert and this is not an option on the app for approx 10 minutes at which time a staff member acknowledged us but then carried on serving others and never came back to us, we managed to attract the attention of someone else to see if we could sort out desserts and the refund as stated earlier to be told this wasn't possible and we should have been told this at the start and that the managers were off as it had been a busy bank holiday week and the other staff were trying their best to manage. We decided at this point to cut our losses and not order desserts so came away unhappy and without my NHS discount and desserts or being able to use our gift vouchers, overall one of the worst experiences I have had in a pub in a long time and do not want to experience this again in a hurry, my niece was very disappointed as it was suppose to be a special birthday tea for her and I work very hard on the front line in the NHS to be lied to blatantly I just don't get it, your staff are uninformed and rude. Not behaviour I would accept from my staff members in the NHS. I have since been back and meal and service was...

We booked a table for 7:30pm for dinner, we made it clear to the staff that we were there for our dinner, we went to the bar to order food at just after 8 and waited about 5 mins to be served. The pub was full to the brim, every single table and there was one member of staff on the bar. They then told us that the kitchen had closed at 8pm despite us not being told that this was the case, the menus were still on the tables, they did not warn a prebooked table of 8 people that the kitchen would be closing shortly. The member of staff was very unbothered and actually quite rude when telling us. We then witnessed the staff have another altercation with a customer that had waited 15 mins to be served. We decided to stay for drinks anyway and asked for a drinks menu, the member of staff sighed rolled her eyes and said "all menus are on the table" there were no drinks menus on our table which was why we asked for one. We then witnessed a huddle of staff at the end of the bar gossiping , giggling and talking about customers rudely whilst ignoring people waiting to order and loads of tables had dirty plates on! We then ordered drinks (from the menu) to be told, we don't make them! Even though it's on the menu and they have the ingredients. They then didn't know how to make the cocktail we asked for, all in all the staff made our whole group feel uncomfortable and I saw other customers complaining about the attitude of the staff. This is not the first time the staff have been rude to us on a visit here and it's not the first time I have overheard them slagging off customers. The service is absolutely shocking which is a shame as it could be a great pub and the food is usually really good but the culture is disgusting, no doubt fuelled by a negative team leader. Really need to rethink the whole situation as you will start losing more and...
