The Lancaster — Restaurant in Wolverhampton

What can I say we came for Xmas dinner we left half way through our courses, I wouldn't recommend, really put a downer on our day, lovely with starter, we all thought this was going to be lovely if the starter was anything to go by, we was wrong, service went really slow, main meal, all veg was hard, stuffing balls you could break a window with, there was more fat on our turkey than meat, we wasn't allowed our desserts until all tables were served with mains, never known this before, other places we haven't had to wait until everyone had main delivered, so we waited 45 minutes til dessert, that was a disappointment on 3 out of 5 desserts we had, we left them we thought we are not going to hang around until all desserts were given out to all tables, until we was allowed our next course, we left and didn't have our next two lots of courses, it took two and a half ours just for 3 courses and we still had two more to go, we probably would of been there another two hours or mpre, not good when you have children to entertain on our table, I did complain, but all they said was sorry, also both men's and ladies toilets were disgusting and the...

The wait staff and hostess of this pub have to be the most rudest I have ever witness. They ignored me and my party who had made a reservation; ignoring my party's attempts to get their attention in order to locate our table in the shambolic layout.

When I went to the hostess stand, 3 waitresses and the hostess were huddled around gossiping, all with the most sourest looks on their faces; and despite witnessing my approach and acknowledged me standing near the stand - they ignored me, carried on gossiping before all waltzing off - leaving me alone looking foolish next to this stand. Awful. My party and I were made to feel unwelcomed.

The atmosphere was loud, screaming patrons due to the football that took over every screen and all ganging around the dining tables.

My family and I abandoned our reservation as this was truly the most unpleasant dining experience I have every received. I can't rate the food due to not being seated but from what I saw, it look...

Such a shame ! We've had so many good meals from here BUT today we where very disappointed with our first sunday roast. Beef roast dinner, the beef was so tough hard to cut with the knife. Roasts where hard and cold. The veg well you think the portion is for 1 No its to share between 2 my son had the same amount for his kids meal. We had puddings to came with 2 balls of ice cream which was good but dont expect the actual pudding to be big as they are on the small side.

Normally staff are attentive but we seemed to wait a long time for plates to be cleared. No check back on food either. Due to it being a first family meal out since a family member came out of hospital we didn't complain as this would have upset the family.

Think we will only return for the Asian menu next time if...
