2 weeks ago I walked in at around 10 pm after installing a new bath for my sister. I hadn’t had a drop of alcohol but admittedly I was tired. The publican reluctantly served me a glass of wine after asking me if I was “ok”. Tonight I walked in at around 10 pm after a 2 hour drive and an afternoon decorating for above mentioned little sister (pregnant with twins). The same dude looked me up and down again, served me a glass of wine and when I asked for another (stone cold sober), he told me that there was a problem with the till and despite other customers still drinking in his establishment, that I should go up the road. Amazing local pub! Incredible atmosphere, very mellow (10/10 on background music) and friendly staff. Visually stunning, I wish I could decorate my home like this bar, and the “secret” bookshelf is an absolute diamond in the rough (the rough being Worthing town). Good selection of drinks, I think I’ve drunk my way through the beer rack, and well-sourced wines and spirits. Would 100% recommend to anyone either passing through or local to the area. PS extra credit for the outside seating, not too common for smaller venues...

What a LET DOWN. 2nd review. Unbelievable how long it took to make 2 cocktails. Just don't bother going there if your thirsty. Lovely drink wen it arrived so much later, but not worth the wait. Original review. Lovely setting, great drinks.... But the only Toilet there was dreadful - the toilet seat was the wrong shape for the quirky toilet and it wasn't even bolted down properly.
