Great, quirky cafe. Absolutely loved our visit to break up our long journey. Lovely hot coffee in a decent size cup, toastie was tasty and very good value for money. My husband and I needed a bite to eat but not a huge meal and the lady who served us sensibly advised us to share the toastie as it was quite substantial. We appreciated that advice as she could have just sold us two toasties. I’m sure we would not have been able to finish them. Staff were very welcoming and efficient, we noticed that tables were cleaned quickly and thoroughly and even the seating was wiped between customers. The toilet, whilst a portaloo behind the cafe, was the best portaloo I have used. It was clean, well equipped and they have obviously tried to make the best of what they have. If I didn’t live so far away I would visit this cafe regularly. So glad I found this lovely...

LOVE this wee cafe! Came to collect some flowers my sister had ordered and sat with a coke while I waited. The atmosphere is so lovely and relaxed and it's decorated beautifully (wish I got some photos!)

They do the most amazing cakes and pastries and the only reason I didn't order one was because I was going to a party and knew it'd fill me up!

They are dog friendly too and had wee treats for the dog. Was meant to go back but ran out of time and travelling back home but I will 10000% be coming back the next time I'm down south!

Also, the staff are extremely friendly and so lovely to speak to. Make sure you pop in for a tea and a cake and check out their stunning flowers! 🍰🌻

I've added a pic of the photos we ordered - so our Mom could be there in spirit at...

We had to wait for 30 minutes + for a coffee, a tea and a croissant. The tea was served in a pot meant for tea leaves but had a tea bag instead so was unfortunately very weak and needed some adjustments to make it partly palatable. The croissant was stale and the coffee (cappuccino) was only half full with the rest filled with froth. Other customers were receiving lovely looking hot food and this was clearly the priority. The toilet was clean but unfortunately smelled like the septic tank hadn’t been maintained - gross. Unfortunate - I don’t like leaving negative reviews but worth a warning for people passing by for...

Staying at the Chadwick Bank Lodges and wanted to try a local cafe. Came across this place and decided to try out. Ordered the Toasties (one ham, one bacon with cheese)...just as a light lunch as we were going out for a meal later. No need now...we are stuffed! The Toasties were beautiful (I've never seen bread slices so big), they came with crisps and a dip. Had a lot of homemade cakes and savoury rolls on offer, which looked very tempting, but just too full. Go with an appetite πŸ˜‹. Place was clean, service was fast and staff all pleasant. I will be going again...I need to try out the cakes next. πŸ‘

Lovely little tearoom/cafe. Reasonable prices and lots of choice ranging from toasties and bagels, jacket potatoes, pastries, cakes, brownies and sausage rolls! Hot, Cold and Seasonal drinks availible and indoor and outdoor seating. They also sell honey, waxmelts and candles and have a small book swap. Friendly staff and fast service with eat in or takeaway service. Some gluten free options. Free parking but limited spaces and it can get full quickly
