Worst meal out we've ever had. Despite booking and arriving in good time we waited nearly TWO HOURS for our food. When it arrived the jacket potatoes were black skinned and completely dried up. The ravioli parcels were empty, watery and seriously overcooked. The onion rings were also watery inside the batter (probably frozen and not cooked properly). The burger was more cereal than meat and tasted very bad. The only good thing was that they were too embarrassed to charge us for any of it. No stars would be given if possible.

Perfect location on a Summers afternoon. Reasonable drinks and food. Not too busy, a better location and parking than the Holt Fleet just over the river, who turned us away "NO ROOM OUTSIDE"

Excellent carvery. Lots of choice. Well worth a visit. You drive through a caravan site so be aware children are running and cycling across the drive. They appear from nowhere.

DO NOT STAY HERE!! The photos and rating are totally misleading.

We moved the bed to make space for our baby travel cot only to discover there was poo smeared into the carpet (which, regardless of the poo was also filthy), needless to say, the baby slept with us... in the teeny tiny double bed. To be fair the bed itself was actually comfortable. the drain in the shower was blocked so that it was rendered useless, which was a shame as there was actually a good instant heating unit installed. the hallway absolutely stunk of cigarette smoke the people at the pub were nice, although dodgy, after paying for the room we decided to go to the pub next door to have our drinks.

We had paid for two nights but instead only stayed for one, thankfully the owner gave us a full refund for the second night without question.

Apparently the guy from the adjacent campground has brought the pub (and I assume the rooms), and so I hope he is able to turn it around - the building really has so...

The place is very run down and dirty! The service was very poor and the food even worse! A large menu offering a variety of different home cooked foods is advertised on the website, yet when you get there no menus exist and a few items are written out on a chalkboard in the bar! The majority of things that we were expecting to see on the menu having previously checked out the online menu did not exist! Its not often you find a place offering crocodile, kangaroo, ostrich and camel burgers so of course this is going to attract people, so it is a very big let down when told these foods are not served here! As confirmed by staff members, the food comes out of 'packets', the food was all cheap frozen oven food that would have been cooked better at home! Very disappointing that we travelled all the way here to be extremely let down... will not be visiting again - especially when a member of the party was very ill after...

Could do better. Drinks were a tad expensive. The food. Mixed feelings about that. My sister had ham and eggs which was very good. My partner had southern fried chicken burger. Chips and salad. Didn't taste nothing like SFC. Also. Like my sister's salad a brown gooey sauce was poured over it. Which was unacceptable if I'd have wanted that l would have asked. And l don't recall seeing anything on the menu re that. I had burnt pork belly a ends and onion rings. Very good. The gents had no water to wash my hands with so l had to go to the disabled loo. No drier in there. So back to the men's to dry them. A group of young UN's came into the restaurant they we're noisy . But they are young. But what we didn't like was all the effin and blindin. The restaurant was cold. The food and drinks service was very polite but slow. Don't think I'd go there in the summer season as being a caravan and tent Site l imagin it to...
