Topp's Barbeque — Restaurant in Aberdeen

Walking straight in the door to a busy ordering counter is kind of stressful to me. Especially when I've never been to a place before and would like to have plenty of time to examine the menu. That being said, the cashier was not her self rushing me it was more of an internal pressure to get out of the way of production. Staff was friendly and they took cards. We sat in a separate room with tvs and storage and multiple booths. The only time we saw a worker was when she brought our food boxes to us. Food was pretty good. I was very disappointed. I got the bbq sandwich plate with slaw, beans, fries, and sweet tea, plus an order of rib tips to try and a dessert. The bbq sandwich meat looked and tasted like it came out of a can with bbq sauce added. The slaw looked and tasted like it was what you buy in the grocery store in one of those plastic containers. The beans were ok. The fries, they were fantastic! The rib tips were plain awful. I could only manage to eat half my sandwich and just a couple of rib tips. The dessert was great, and so was the tea. We called on Saturday morning before they opened and they took our order with no hesitation. I was impressed from beginning. We ordered the family pack for our small gathering. The sides were small for the event, but very good. The meat was so good and seasoned just right. Didn’t even have to have the sauce on it. It even smelled good.
