La Bella has great food, friendly service, and a clean atmosphere. We highly recommend the Guisada & Red Enchiladas. The in-house made chips and salsa are probably the best in Abilene that we've had thus far. The guacamole is a side item and not a dish or appetizer. However, it has the best flavor of any guacamole in abilene. I do wish they offered some appetizers and desserts on the menu. I think if they added the following, it would be 5/5 stars. Add some appetizers like guacamole and chips, chips and queso, or queso flameado. Add some desserts like sopapillas, churos, flan While the restaurant has great food, friendly service, and a clean atmosphere, I do believe it could use some more decorations. The walls are plain, and the interior reminds me more of a cafeteria atmosphere than the sit-down restraunt due to the lack of decorations.

We tried the new La Bella on Ambler today for lunch. They have only been open a few days. The dining room was full when we walked in but were seated quickly. The chips are fresh fried flour tortilla and the salsa is blended and brought great flavor and some heat. I had flautas ranchera and my wife had pupusas and said the curtido was on point. Everything was flavored well with a good level of spiciness. The staff was very friendly and attentive. Try it out if you are in the area! Not sure of their hours but they do close at 2PM for lunch...

Went for lunch and it was a little busy! Service was okay, the food came out hot and had to wait on the torts? Fajitas were good and tasty. My enchiladas were good, the chicken was dry but, still good. I went for breakfast a couple days later and was not too impressed. The potatoes were dry, my guess sitting under heat lamp. The food came out cool and not hot. So it's a coin toss?

We have been probably 5 times since we discovered this place. Every time we go, it is always exceptional! I am a huge fan of the salsa and usually get at least one refill on the chips and salsa. I have had the chiliquelles, the chorizo ranchero, flautas, carnitas...it's always amazing. The staff is very friendly and eager to please always. Update Google just asked if anything has changed, well Google, no. It is still exceptional food, family owned and very friendly. Always generous portions, hardly a seat to be had because of how delicious everything is. Do not miss this place if you want excellent Mexican food like Abuela made!! Update 2 The inside has changed...slightly. The only changes have been to streamline service for the wait staff, and to add some booths. Service and food are still exceptional and the ownership is the same. Still one of my favorite breakfast spots hands down for...

Our breakfast was absolutely delicious. Daniela, our delightful server, brought the meal quickly and attended us well with offers of water and coffee refills. Salsa is amazing! So good, in fact, I'm going to ask if I can buy a pint to take home on our next visit. Went back again to try lunch menu. Another home run experience! This is my new favorite Mexican restaurant in Abilene. Update: After yet another delicioso desayuno, my wife and I wondered how many Mexican restaurants we drove past to get to La Bella. Looked on Google maps and counted 17. This place and the wonderful family who runs it are...
