I have nothing but amazing things to say! The food here is delicious and the Haitian music playing in the background, gives it a nice vibe. The first time I came I was able to try the grits oxtail and it was so good! In general, I’m not a fan of goat but I tried my mom’s fried goat she ordered, and it was juicy, flavorful and tasted so good. My mom is Haitian and couldn’t stop talking about how good the food was and kept telling us we need to come at least once a month. The cremas colada is so good as well! We all got different dishes and everyone loved their food! We just went again this weekend, (2 weekends in a row). The cremas cheesecake is so good! I never knew I needed that combination til now. The owner is so sweet and the staff were so attentive. Our waitress made sure to always check in and to make sure we were all set. This is now my go to Haitian spot. If you’re looking for amazing Haitian food and a great vibe, this is the place!

We waited 20 minutes before anyone came to our table. I had to flag down a waitress just to get water, then another 10 minutes for drinks—and only one arrived. A table near us, who came in after us, had their food before us. We waited an additional 30–40 minutes. After I complained to the owner, our entrĆ©es came out one at a time—disjointed and awkward. I originally wanted the red snapper, but at $65, that was ridiculous. I ended up ordering the griot instead. Still, the service didn’t justify the prices. The young waitstaff lacked training and engagement. No one checked on us until we were 20 minutes into our meal. The only time they seemed interested was when it came time to pay the check. Felt like a Doberman was watching over us waiting for the bill. Overall, it was a frustrating and disappointing experience. I really wanted to like the food, especially because I saw so many positive reviews via Instagram.

I gave this place a 1 ⭐ bcz of my overall experience. 1 ⭐ for the food because we were only able to try items from the appetizer menu only since they were out of half the meal menu. 3 ⭐⭐⭐ for the service bcz our server was extremely sweet. 2 ⭐⭐ for atmosphere bcz they were playing Haitian music which I really like.

Now onto my overall review. 5 of us walked in at 5:30 on a Sunday evening only to be given a list of items they were out of on the main and desert menu, one of them was chicken. What restaurant is out of chicken on a Sunday at the start of dinner time?šŸ¤·šŸ½ā€ā™€ļø

Our drinks took an eternity to come. 5 of us sat at the table, but we only got utensils for 4. Everybody make mistakes, so that wasn't the issue. It's when we ask several times before getting it, that was the problem. Mind you the appetizers were already at the table and 4 of us were eating while the fifth person without utensils waited at least 10 minutes before getting a set.

Now it's time to order food. First person ordered fish, second person ordered dinde, third person ordered fish only to be told by another server walking by hearing what we ordered that she just took the last fish. That was after we were told that half the menu was missing when we walked in earlier. We were still ok to stay. But the server who announced that she just took the last fish was laughing as if it was a joke. Our actual server was very embarrassed and sorry at what was going on. Not only there was no food that we wanted on the menu that was available for her to serve us, But her coworker was laughing in her customers' face at the fact that foods were missing. Poor thing went to the back when she opened the door, I hear someone in the kitchen ask her "what happened?" I'm pretty sure she explained as the door closed behind her, So us customers are waiting for the owner of the restaurant to come out and apologize for the (more) missing items. Nope, that's not what happened. The poor girl was sent out to handle this situation on their own. Although she was dark skin we could tell she was blushing, she was embarrassed but she handled herself very very well. We thanked her, asked her for a check, tipped her then left. We lingered a little bit to see if the owner would come back out again, nothing.

The problem here. We drove 1 hour plus out of our way to go and support that place. We reached out via phone and on IG the week prior to let them know we were coming! We were so excited to see all the beautiful posts on IG including all the nice things people were saying about that place. We thought finally a Haitian restaurant that represents us, only to be met with this disappointment. I'm not bashing the place, I'm being honest about my experience. If we lived closer we would give it another try, but it's not worth it for us to drive that far out again, not knowing whether we're going to get food we want or not.

To our server, I am so sad that we didn't get her name. We want to thank you so much for handling this situation with so much poise. You are so sweet and respectful. Thank you for making our time there worthwhile. We wish this restaurant nothing...

I just left Grida and had a disappointing experience. We had a 7:30 reservation, I checked in with the hostess and she said she doesn’t have my reservation when I could see my name on the book. I told her to check again and she saw my name. When we were finally seated, we waited 20 minutes before a waiter attended to us, and we had to ask for menus ourselves.

We had to wait a long time again to place our drink orders , and we didn’t receive our food until 9:00 PM and the food wasn’t hot. They put additional drinks on the check that we didn’t order. Even after eating, we had to wait another hour to get our check.

Additionally, I found the staff to be unfriendly and unprofessional, the whole time we were there they didn’t check on us or apologize for the wait. It seems they lack proper training and experience. I hope the management addresses these issues to improve the overall experience. Another thing I want to add is in the check said card was an additional charge and with cash was $126.94 so we left 127 in cash and left I should’ve waited for my $.6 cents change. Instead of taking time to reply to reviews you should take time to train your...

Omg! We went on Friday night and the food was absolutely amazing! We wanted to go back the next night to try more items. So delicious, perfectly cooked, well seasoned, generous portions. The list goes on. We had such a great time and really enjoyed ourselves. I went with a group of 4 (plus our baby), and we decided to each get a different main course on the menu to try them all out. We had turkey, oxtail, fried beef, and fried pork. Every single thing was delicious. All the veggies came with drops of something on it that tasted absolutely amazing and unlike anything I had ever had before. The waitress said that it was a type of homemade salad dressing. Delicious! The Bunin (not sure if I am spelling it right) was fried to perfection, and the sauces for everything was soooooo good. This is honestly our new favorite spot for Haitian food. My in laws are from Miami and they say all the time that they can’t find the same quality Caribbean food here as they have available in Miami. They were so happy that they kept saying that the food takes them back years ago, to when their best friends moms would cook for them. Absolutely rate this...
