Held a 60th Anniversary party for my parents, and we ordered a two tier cake from Maple Street Bakery. It was absolutely delicious and simply beautiful. The top tier was chocolate cake with praline filling, the bottom was almond cake, and was frosted with almond buttercream. We received so many compliments - highly recommend!!

Great little bakery, kind staff! Limited seating 2 tables inside 2 tables outside. Home baked pastries fresh every morning. Suggest coming in before 9AM to see their full variety. They also make King Cakes starting on Kings Day annually.

I ordered a unicorn cake for my daughter's birthday party and it was absolutely beautiful. Not only was it beautiful, but it was also delicious.

In case the bakery deletes this review off their site I'd like everyone to see it before thinking about ordering a cake from Maole Street bakery in Abita Springs.

Before you read this keep in mind I paid $75 for this cake. I came into the shop to order a cake for my gender reveal party and I told the lady I wanted edible glitter on one side of the cake and she suggested I use luster dust which is a fine glitter dust. I told her to put a princess crown or something girly on that side to represent a baby girl. I told her the other side of the cake I wanted guns because the theme of the gender reveal was guns and glitter. I told her my fiance likes to duck hunt and asked if she could add some ducks to that side as well. When I received the cake I was very disappointed. one side had a princess crown made of fondant that was carving in and almost looked like a jester hat. tTe other side had a blue pond of ducks and no guns. the ducks looked like my 5 year old niece made them with play dough. I was extremely dissappointed after seeing pics on their page and someone suggesting this bakery to me. When i told them it was supposed to have a gun on it they said no problem and made a gun really quick that looked like a stick and played it next to the pond of ducks. I will never order a cake from them again. My sister called and explained the disappointment and the lady had an attitude about it and said I paid for the size of the cake not the decoration. it looks like my cake was forgotten about and was made up last minute. everyone I've showed the cake to at the party agreed they would never pay $75 for this cake. When I picked up the cake from the same lady I ordered it from she asked me how old my kid was turning and I told her once again it was for my gender...

Whether visiting Abita Springs via bicycle, car, or by foot along the lovely St. Tammany Trace, the Maple Street Bakery will surely please your appetite. Don't worry about directions...follow your nose as you experience the heavenly aroma of freshly baked pastries, cakes, breads, and muffins. There you will enjoy a fresh cup of Community coffee with your favorite baked goods, a delciously wholesome sandwich or salad served in a quaint country dining room or out on the porch of this historic home. I really like the warm, whole wheat apple muffin; so big you'll want to cut it in half and eat the rest for a snack. I have ordered layer cakes with yummy buttercream frosting for special occasions and the fabulous pecan praline bread for the holidays. Friendly, family owned Maple Street Bakery is one of my favorite places and I highly recommend it while in...

Well I went in around 7:30am and they really didn't have a good selection of anything. I was really disappointed. They have a new bakery down the rd from them. And everything is made fresh! But I always wanted to try Maple Street, so that's where I went and had chocolate croissant that was stale and a cream cheese pastry that also tasted like it was really old. I'm sorry I just really thought they would be better. The helper was really nice and sweet! Maybe they are just short staffed. I might give them another try in a few months. I hope...
