TACO SALSA GRILL — Restaurant in Addison Township

Was excited to try this place out because of the reviews. Ordered a carne asada burrito. VERY DISAPPOINTED. It is a large portion BUT 98% vegetables and beans. Very little meat, probably less than what’s in a taco. The meat did have good flavor though, thus 2 stars. But at $9.99 for one item full of lettuce and tomato; WAY TOO EXPENSIVE! Service sucked, unless you are a regular. Walked up, said what do you want. OK FINE, I ordered and was told to put in my card. Didn’t ask if anything else, any drink …. That was it. he grabbed some of his food that he was eating at the counter and proceeded to talk with someone sitting at table in front of him. When order was ready, he placed it on counter and continued with conversation. Didn’t ask if u needed napkins or hot sauces.

Food was ok, drove for almost and hour since I live in another town to eat a Cemita since I had eaten it before. Last time I loved it, tasted amazing couldnt wait to go back but this time it was tasteless and they used shredded mozarella instead of the usual queso oxaca which it adds to the taste. I didnt like the cashier though seemed he was not having a good day or is always annoyed. His attitude was rude. Saw a guy walk away without his food even though he had pre ordered but when he asked the cashier something he gave him a rude answer and the customer walked away. Have been coming here for lunch for around a decade. My workplace was on the same street (Cortland Ct) for 6 years. It's not a very large place and can be quite busy right at noon on weekdays, but the food is good and reasonably priced with generous portions. I myself, often get chicken tostadas (2 are very filling eat 3 you'll be over stuffed), or an italian beef sandwich with motz and giardinera, or chicken tacos, or carnita tacos (very good and very hard to find at most places), or a burger.
