I think they might have been having a bad day, no smiles, pretty stern looks. We traveled from Rio Grande just to experience the place. Letting the staff know that did not make any difference. The girl was polite, but she left after taking our order. The other attendant was paying his full attention to another group who seemed were relatives of him as for their conversation. When I heard him offering them most of what was left in the shop, which was not much almost at 12 pm, I called him to order some croissants before they ran out and he seemed to be bothered by it. Anyway our brunch was not as appetizing. Egg tart was bland and cheese croissant arrived cold. Coffee was good. Also we ended up paying four dollars for one bottled water. I could not appreciate the flakiness of the croissants since they were so cold and greasy. The monkey bread and almond croissants we ordered for takeout were really delicious after some seconds in the microwave at home. Their lemon dessert is gorgeous very real like. The outside chocolate cover is nicely thin. The inside was too puckery, not a sweet dessert at all. They did not have their famous strawberry roulade. The place is small and cozy, nicely decorated. To me what would have made a difference is some more courtesy or friendliness to make people feel welcomed. Unfortunately the attention was as cold as the food...

The first time I visited, the wait was over an hour, and unfortunately, there wasn’t much space to wait comfortably. I understand that it was a busy time, but a simple greeting or acknowledgment would have made a difference.
I decided to give it another shot last Tuesday. We arrived at 2:15 PM, well before the posted closing time of 3 PM, only to be told that the kitchen was already closed. That was disappointing.
At this point, I’m not sure if I’ll give it a third...
Read moreI will give pastries at La Creme 5 stars. I came here twice on vacation to PR, and I would definitely recommend anyone to try it out. Food, staff, and atmosphere were great. I had an Almond Croissant, a hot chocolate, and I also tried their French toast. Everything here is made fresh from scratch and I love it! Keep in mind that the place is small, and being a supervisor myself, I would recommend the owner not to let employees go to the restroom with the apron on. Also, for the owner, I would recommend a more visible sign other than the flag to get...
