I ventured out of Augusta for lunch today, and gosh, was I in for a surprise!
Prominently located along the main thoroughfare in Jackson, S.C., this quaint local diner was unassuming in its façade, yet beckoning to me with an air of humble confidence. I could almost sense PK's unspoken promise to provide a delightful sustenance to my yearning belly.
I was simultaneously dismayed and delighted during my visit to this establishment: dismayed by the monstrous portions mounded up on my plate--however would I eat it all!--yet infinitely delighted by the crisp, hand-breaded, golden brown whitefish (Swai) fillets, and expertly seasoned, de-tailed, hand-battered delicious shrimp. The plate was accented with some of the best fried okra to ever grace my palate, heaped up into a mountain in the basket (couldn't fit on the plate with the seafood, lol). The cook's passion and expertise both were on full display with this meal; even now my mouth is watering in loving memory of the savory treat it only hours earlier had partaken!
In summary, the food was delicious and generously portioned, and the service was welcoming and prompt. I highly recommend a visit to this establishment! 11/10...

The food is cooked home-style, even crazier it's a buffet! I've had their lunch and dinner and it was always good, I had no complaints.....but that breakfast....that is a different animal. It's in a league of its own. I'd give it 7...
