Waffle House — Restaurant in Aiken County

This particular Waffle house is located on Highway #1 in Clearwater South Carolina. I went there today and walked in the door at 1:55 p.m., by 2:15 p.m. I had yet to be waited on, or even acknowledged my presence or existence there. They had one young gentleman cooking, one waitress washing dishes and two waiting on tables. Halfway through my wait, one of the waitresses walked towards me only to walk right by me making eye contact with me, and she had to have noticed absolutely nothing, no water or nothing sitting on my table in front of me. She walked pass me through the office and on outside to take a smoke break. When it got to be 2:15 I asked for a manager. The waitress washing dishes stopped what she was doing and went and got the manager. I told him what had happened. He began spitting out one excuse after another talking about short handed and such. I said they must not be if a waitress can walk right by a customer that obviously hasn't even been waited on yet and go take a smoke break, yes smoke break, I saw her. I really didnt know what else to say so I told him in front of everyone that I had been coming there for years and that was the first time anything like that had ever happened. I also told him that when this sort of scenario begins to play out he needs to come out of the office and help out. I told him his number one priority above all else was his customers that are coming in there with money keeping Waffle Houses open and assuring he has a job and a pay check. I told him he needed to go back to Waffke House management training 101 and left. I'll go back, but not when that particular manager and his staff is on duty. Waffle House needs to step up to the plate and do something about such as this. This is the kind of laziness that can ruin a business. This happened Friday, October 6th 2023 at around 2:00 p.m. In a place to eat, especially a Waffle House, 15 to 20 minutes of waiting for no one to even acknowledge you're there is...

Went to the Waffle House in Clearwater sc which is a beechisland address but this is the 4th time they are closed are not doing anything but take out are don’t have a cook there yet I have never complain until t the parking lot it’s 5:10 this morning and they tell us there only doing take out because they don’t have enough servers and that would be ok if the didn’t have two servers two cooks and supposedly a dish washer the lady said her manager told her don’t open if they only have two servers so we had to leave and go to Aiken on Richland avenue where they only have one server and a cook and they are all way open for dine in but the point is this is starting to happen a lot and the place is really starting to go down hill I truly hope the district manager see this because I was informed this morning when we try to go in and eat that the manager said for them to only do to go orders if they only have two not one but two servers well they had two servers two cooks and a dishwasher in the back doing nothing and if you only doing to go orders why do you need to cooks two servers and a dishwasher there are no dishes to wash because you want let people come in to eat so if you want a good Waffle House to eat at and see how it is supposed to be run go to Richland...

Would have loved to rate the foodbut the service from the little wanna be emo boy was so horrible the second we sat down we walked out before even ordering our food. Sucks because we love Waffle House. We tried to brush it off when we sat down and buddy immediately asked what we wanted to eat without even handing us a menu no drinks offered after asking for a menu and asking for drinks we were asked 3 times in less than 5 mins what we wanted to order. I understand having a sense of urgency but if he was that ready to take our order he could’ve atleast waited til we sat the menus down. After the last time of being asked over and over again if we were ready to order I told him again to please give us a minute he proceeded to walk over to the only other server working and whisper what I can only assume was how ready he was to take our order while staring us down. So we decided to walk out mind you there was only one other customer in there I could understand if they were busy but dang do better. Now I’m mad cause I didn’t get to tell him cause we know he really wanted to know so bad that I was gonna order an all star and my husband was going to get the Texas bacon...
