The food was very highly priced for what you got. We ordered the tacos, Loaded fries, and the chicken strips. The tacos were absolutely terrible. Dried out chicken, lack of flavor, I didn't finish them, instead they went to the trash, because no one at our table liked them. Chicken strips were ok ... I guess, but lacking flavor. The only good thing was the French fry. We paid concert venue price for food that was worse than what you could find at a concert. The portion size was extremely small as well. Overall do not eat this food.
In response to the owner of magic city; I'm a bit confused about my review being tied to your business. I specifically searched cult kitchen to leave my opinion. We enjoyed our flights. The beer was good. As for addressing the food with cult kitchen... I didn't want anything else from the menu after trying what I had. I didn't see a point in returning the food. I guess I could have requested a refund, but that would not have changed my review of the highly priced mediocre food. We travel around to different breweries as a hobby and my comparisons are fueled by the experiences. Overall the food was more expensive than most, had the smallest portion I've seen, and was the worst I have had to date. I'm sorry that the brewery was associated with my review as I would have given a very different response...
Read moreSimply put, this place rocks. The staff are friendly, welcoming, and attentive, the beer is great, and the food is fantastic. A true brewery trifecta.
If you sit at a table, you do have to order food and drinks at the bar, but I have been here quite a few times, and the staff handles it with ease. It has never been a problem for me.
We recently went to their first Sunday brunch service and even though the place was PACKED, the staff busted their butts, and the wait times were very manageable. I truly don't think that they expected the crowd that showed up (which may be a testament to just how dang good their food has been since they have started managing their kitchen), so they were all extremely busy, but when the food came out, it was well worth the short wait!
Parents, we have brought our toddler a few times, and everyone there was extremely nice and helpful - the high chairs are functional and very clean as well.
To me, a good indicator of how the overall experience at an establishment will be is the attentiveness and demeanor of the staff, and this crew consistently knocks it out of the park.
Major kudos to you all, especially during your first brunch. You handled it with grace and I'm sure it will only get better and better!
We'll...
Read moreI’m changing my rating from a 5 star to a 4 star. The menu has changed, and while our meal was fine, we could have gotten it anywhere else (smash burger and fried fish.) We were told the kitchen has changed hands. Instead of a destination, this place is just a nice local hangout.
Previous review:
I was dragged here by my adult children. I thought the decorum was drab trendy, I hated having to hand over my credit card to “start a tab”, I hated having to go one place to get a beer, another to order my food. I hated that my beer was poured into a trendy upper-crust glass. I hated that the menus are “online.” As you can see, I had a pretty poor attitude.
I ordered the pistol fist IPA - simply delicious. One of the best IPAs I’ve had. If I wasn’t driving, I would have ordered another!
I ordered the Cuban sandwich. Another winner and one of the best I’ve every had. Everyone had a wonderful experience with the pretzel bites/beer cheese, tofu bites, Asian Chicken sandwich..
I left the Cult/Magic City with a positively adjusted attitude....
