Martin's Pretzel Bakery — Restaurant in Akron

I stopped by this morning to pick up some pretzels. It was my first visit since the remodeling. In the past, I bought 2 one pound bags of low salt brokers at $2.50 each. I was pleased. I went pretty often. Today, much to my surprise, I paid $5.00 for each bag. So. . . The price doubled! As a result, I will visit less often, and buy one bag instead of two. These are grocery store prices. A half pound at Weis was $2.49. Why go to the factory?? I would understand a price hike. But 50 cents, not double! Very very...

We were pretty disappointed when the place that we normally buy Martin's pretzels stopped carrying them so when in the area I'll always stop by to get a couple of packages. These are simply the BEST pretzels. The factory/bakery in Akron PA is a really neat operation, smaller than expected but very tidy with workers who obviously care about the product that they make and ship to consumers. My advice is to come for the pretzels and stick around the historical corner of PA...

Needed my hand twisted PA pretzel fix, and wanted to make ranch pretzels.

After checking the other bakeries in the Lancaster country area I settled on Martin's as they had the best solution for me.

I emailed them and received a quick reply.

So i ordered the 4lb box of broken regular salted pretzels with free shipping.

Everything went smoothly and my order arrived in less than a week (USVI).

Still haven't made those ranch pretzels, may need to order another...
