Woody's Steakhouse/Seafood & Grill — Restaurant in Alabama

Incredibly fresh food, unbelievablely good food. We came to Woody's right at 1030 am this morning for an early family lunch, jurs right as they opened. Staff was extremely friendly and welcoming, they allowed us to sit anywhere we wanted. We have our 2 kids with us, thankfully the kids menu is both short and awesome. Chicken tenders are amazing on the kids menu as well as the hotdogs, my kids both ate the entire entree which never happens. My wife had the fried pork chops which appear to be hand battered and fresh fried, it was very good. Had to wait about 5 minutes after pork chops came out for her baked potato to arrive but I attribute that to us getting on location just before they fully opened to the public. I had a Woody Burger and I have to say it is one of the best made burgers I have had in a while. Only draw is I ordered my burger cooked to medium and it came out well done. It didn't take away from the the quality of the burger just a little over done. I do know they were working catering orders as we ordered so that may be the reason. It won't discourage me from ordering another burger. The price range for Woody's is actually very good for the quality and service found here. I would even dare to say it could be a little pricier and I would not complain. Good job to these fine Dogtown locals providing quality home cooked meals both for an individual and a complete family. The food was pretty good. We had to wait way too long to get our food. Had they been packed it would have been expected but there were only about two or three other families eating there at the time we were there. We ordered four steaks, all cooked medium. We got three medium steaks and one well done. Since we had already waited so long to get our food we didn't want to send it back and have to wait even longer for another one to be cooked. Also, we never got any refills on our drinks until the manager asked if everything was okay. We mentioned the well done steak and that we needed refills. Our waitress then brought us refills. Nothing was said or done about the over cooked steak. When we got there a young girl that was supposed to sit us at a table, just told to sit "over there" as she walked past us. She also was the same one that took our drink orders. She seemed to be in a horrible mood. She never smiled, you could hear her stomping around the restaurant when taking food to her tables. The girl that was our actual waitress was a bit friendlier but like I said before, she didn't really pay much attention to us. There was one table that had a big party of about 10 or 15 people. I guess the empty parking lot on a Saturday night should have been clue number one. There was food in our seat once we were seated, the waitress had few recommendations. The way town for food was very short. Vegetables are straight out of a can, it appeared they weren't Even flavored with salt. The baked potato had zero flavor. It literally was a potato baked in the oven. I will say that was a plus, it was not done in a microwave. No tough spots. This steak was only about a quarter inch thick, I doubt seriously that it was 12 oz. It had no flavor, I had to add salt at the table. The corn nuggets seem to have some sort of film inside even though they tasted okay. The shrimp listed as fresh on the menu was definitely not fresh. We are from the Gulf Coast and 100% know that was not fresh. We were not offered dessert, as a matter of fact the check came with our food. No one ever came to check if we needed a drink refill or if the steak was cooked well, despite that being a concern when we ordered. This is definitely not a place we...
