Tacos El Pio — Restaurant in Alamo

The charro beans were barely warm. They offered to put melted mozzarella cheese on the tacos. Maybe they are selling Southern Italian tacos. The fajitas were very hard and rubbers to chew.

I guess what I’m getting at is that if I liked barely warm beans and meat that wasn’t tenderized properly before cooking, I’d give this place a higher review. But since I expect charro beans to be hot when they are served to me and fajitas to be tender when cooked and those basic expectations of food being sold to me at a restaurant weren’t met, I gave them the low rating.

The mozzarella cheese on Mexican food is perhaps more of a personal choice, I suppose.

I do not want to sound like I’m being picky. But I do have a wey basic assumption and expectation that Mexican food should be made of traditional Mexican ingredients and mozzarella cheese is something I would expect to find on pizzza or a ravioli and was a little surprised to see it end up on tacos or tostadas.

So I was craving some badass tacos in an unfamiliar part of the valley... I didn't know what was around, but I remember seeing a tacos spot in the corner of Yower and fm 495, but I he'd never actually been there. I was starving when I arrived, but (red flag) the parking lot was empty, and the place was open. I attributed it to the fact that it was a cold rainy day, so I walked in. This taco place only had 3 " different" types of protein for their tacos. I looked at the menu and ordered some of the worst tacos I've ever had. I had "pastor meat " tacos. It was late evening, so I thought this meat was either prepared really early in the day or late the day beforehand. The meat was dry, hard, and flavorless. The reason I rated it a 1 star. Is because for a Saturday nights they say they close at 11 I went at 10:15 and they were closed the place was full of people and they were saying they were closed and turn off the lights and the signs outside which I thought was very unprofessional and very rude. if you're going to advertise a time to close and don't do it at that time adjust your time. very inconvenient and the reason I came here is because I was told they were good tacos. but I see the service is bad so makes me doubt how the Ford taste.
