If you're traveling between Fairbanks and Anchorage, you simply have to stop at Jam Jam's. We asked Mr. Jamelle what he recommended on the menu and he said "Everything!" and he was not wrong! The chipotle fried chicken was incredibly crispy on the outside, perfectly tender on the inside, the bahn mi was flavorful and juicy with just the right ratio of bread to filling. I genuinely believe every single item on the menu would be equally excellent in their own ways.
Then there were the donuts. One bite of the cinnamon-sugar apple donuts and we realized we had just experienced the pinnacle of all donuts, and every other donut from hereon out for the rest of our lives would never compare. The contrast of the crystalline cinnamon exterior to the toothsome apple-kissed dough is perfection; we're not even "foodies" per se but we were talking in fond memory of Jam Jam's donuts the rest of the day. Even when we went to sleep, my husband and I looked at each other and said, "Do you remember that time we stopped at a food shack near Denali and had the best donuts of our lives?" "Yeah, I remember that. Those were the good days."

It was so good I asked the for a sample of there seasoning which I was able to take through the airport to which I still have to this day. Thank you jam jams you really made my trip and I hope to come back to Alaska one day so I can eat the chicken and...
