I have had multiple dinners here including two birthday parties but sadly the restaurant has slowly gone downhill since last year. I have been in Anchorage for about a year now and this used to be one of my go to restaurants for me and my family.
Since the ownership has changed we notice a steep decline in the service and qualify of the food. The new waitresses unusually aggressive and rude, sometimes coming off as condescending. Today was the last straw as my wife and I found a long grey and black hair in our food which was absolutely 💯 disgusting. My wife had already eated half the plate and was completely mortified. I was absolutely disappointed as this was a place referred by a colleague of mine. When showed the waitress she unapologetically said she was unsure she could do something and took the plate to the back. After a few minutes she brought a half plate back of the same dish but my wife had already lost her appetite. The waitress seemed annoyed as she just dropped the plate on the table and walked off without saying a thing.
We went to the check desk to pay for the meal and sure enough she never told thr manager that she found a hair in the meal. When we complained further the manager seemed to think we were making it up until we requested that the waitress come over. She then proceed to say the truth about what happened but they seemed offended that we even made it an issue. Keep in mind this is a restaurant we have been going to multiple times for a year straight! To top it off my wife attempted to talk to them before we left one last time to find the previously apologetic manager mocking her in front of the other coworkers. Completely unprofessional and shows a lack of character. This was a relatively simple issue to resolve that turned into a missed opportunity on their part.
Not going to lecture people on how to run their restaurant, but I can't honestly recommend this place anymore to my folks at JBER or any other visitors anymore. The food was alot tasty before the management changed but to find tons of hair in your noodles is frankly disgusting. For the price and the quality there are a ton of other better restaurants. Just sad to see things...
Read moreThis is the MOST DISGUSTING restaurant by all means. my entire family came (7 of us) and ate here with our 1yr old and 6mo old. we loved this place due to the food quality (more on the sweet side but still tasty). we came here on 12/5/24 and was highly disappointed. Seem like there is a new waitress now and she is VERY rude. she was bringing out the bowl of pho for my brother and told him to “move”. what kind of waitress treats their customers like this. LOYAL customers. such disgusting manners. now, as we were about to eat, my brother pulls out a tendon with HAIR inside of it. the hair was IN THE TENDON. so gross, and i could NOT forget the sight. we let the other waitress know and that we would like a new bowl. so she gets our waitress and she says, “is there really hair!?”. why would she even ask that? anyways, she sees, and she takes it back. im sure they just refilled the bowl with new broth/meat. seeing how their service was, not surprising. now we as we were going home, my husband starts to say, im not sure the food is sitting well with me. he was filling sick for 4-5 hrs after the meal. then my 1YR OLD STARTS TO VOMIT EVERYWHERE BECAUSE OF THE FOOD. THEN MY HUSBAND STARTS TO VOMIT. THEN MY BROTHER STARTS TO NOT FEEL GOOD TOO. SO DISAPPOINTED!! SIAM CUISINE, DO BETTER! THIS IS NOT HOW YOU TREAT YOUR CUSTOMERS OR HAVE THEM FEELING LIKE THIS AFTER YOUR MEALS. regretting my business here. dont eat here unless you want to feel sick. would not recommend. poor service and food. disgusting and...
Read moreThe amount of times I’ve drove past Siam Cuisine I’m now kicking myself about it! This is my new go to on the south side of anchorage!
As soon as you open the door you can tell it’s a clean, open and comfy place. I love the artwork on the walls.
Customer service was one of the best I’ve ever had. Getting seated was quick, and the food came out so quickly I was impressed! We ordered the Brisket Pho (medium), Combo lunch special with pad Thai & yellow chicken curry and the crispy pork belly with basil sauce. Brisket pho is a must try especially if you’re a pho fan like myself! The yellow chicken curry was very flavorful, but I thought the pad Thai was alright. I felt like it was missing something. The Crispy pork belly with basil sauce is going to be the one meal I have to order every time I’m here (no joke!)
I saw others complain about the price point here, but honestly the price point is way worth it especially with the serving sizes! All of their meals can easily be split...
