I had only heard good things about this place, was excited but turned out very disappointed.
My first time here. Food is okay, no spices or spicy options (from what they didn't tell me) and a lack of barbeque sauce/unevenness.
That's not where my big problem is, though. I went onto their online menu, saw they had large and small burgers, both under $5 each.
I went through the drive though, got a little hesitant because they just seemingly let a homeless person sit right outside along the wall, and I've had creepy experiences with homeless people so I was rightfully anxious. I assume they had let him because the same blonde striaght hair girl that took my order looked at him and said nothing.
So I had went there and ordered my food. I said I wanted the Large pulled pork sandwich ($4.95) and the Large brisket sandwich (same.) -on the website.- The blonde girl and her other coworker (2 out of 3 there) laughed kind of quietly and the blonde girl said thry dont have different sizes. I can understand if it was a socially anxious laugh but it really threw me off when another girl gigled a bit.
Keep in mind the Large burgers are literally ON THEIR MENU. When I had asked for the total it was $26 I was really confused but hungry and tired and needed to eat so I didn't say anything. And the fact the girl just seemed off when they were talking to me, it made me anxious and made it seem like I was doing something wrong.
So I said okay and just paid for it.
Later I told someone I knew about it and he saw the screenshots I sent him of the prices before I had went there to get food. He thought I got scammed. I was just stressed and confused because I wanted something cheap and I need to save money.
So he called and when he asked the girl about it she said, "I'm just the waitress, I don't make the food." She had also said that there were two items under the same name, specifically the pulled-pork sandwich.
Sorry but, you take orders. Is it not your job to make sure you clarify whether someone wants one or the other? Not to mention you are literally next to your cooks, sorry but that's invalid when you are supposed to be making sure people get the right thing and you are also right next to those cooks.
This would have been excuseable if -
They hadn't laughed at me for asking for something that is ON their menu. If she had explained that there are 2 different kinds and asked me which I wanted. She didn't and I didn't get what I wanted.
With such a big price difference... you should ask whether someone wants one or the other.
I don't know her name. Long straight blonde hair, skinny white girl. Working on monday. June, 13 at 5pm.
I honestly want a refund, but I live over 25 minutes away and paid cash. Unless there is another way for it to happen, or I happen to be...

House made bbq sauce (gluten free) the sauce to me was way too sweet, I prefer salty/savoury over sweet, but I appreciate that its in house made and my husband has the sweet tooth and really enjoyed the sauce. Keeping true to the smoke house name, the meat punched me in the mouth with Smokey flavors, it was pretty awesome. The pineapple coleslaw was honestly my favorite part even the pineapple was smoked, and for me to say the coleslaw was the best part is a big deal since I usually can only eat 3 bite of coleslaw and then gage by the 4th. The cowboy fries (pork, cheese and bbq sauce), the fries were delicous and I'm a large fan of nacho style cheese sauce but the pork made the fries too soggy and it was way too sweet, I couldn't finish them but my husband did. The service was helpful and quick.
My final word is that if you are one who prefers salty over sweet then this might not be the place for you, but if you enjoy a caramelly sweet bbq sauce that's not too thick and not too thin, then I recommend you drive by and...
Read moreAs a doordasher I do not recommend this place. I had the worst experience with the lady who worked there tonight. There was a looooong line and the back door was open so i went to the door and saw the lady working was freaking out and i asked if she was alone because she looked super stressed and if doordash orders were sitting waiting. She starting screaming about not having a tablet and she doesnt have doordash orders and yelling at me to get back in line. I said why would i get back in line if your not making doordash orders? She again kept on screaming about non sense doordash orders and no tablet. Instead she could have said if you wait in line i can make it off the order you have in your hand but nooooo just yelling at me to get out of there and said i was yelling at her...most bizzare scenario. Normally the girls there are very nice! As a customer maybe the cowboy fries if your lucky to show up when they are not out of everything. Always...
