It’s 9F and windy. I’m loading my feed bags off the dock at Albright’s Mill. I’m cold and hungry, so is my dog Fifty-Fifty. Fifty barks and motions toward the Hotey. I agree and we maneuver to the front and I go on for OUR take-out lunch picnic. The barkeep was real nice with a big smile. She got me a cheesesteak and fries and a hunk of American for the pup. Maybe it’s the weather, maybe cause I didn’t have time to stop when I drove by last week, maybe cause it was just so…. But every bite of that cheesesteak was sumptuous. The ratio of fries to steak was perfect, alternating bites. Even the Coke was the best fountain Coke I’d had in weeks. All I can say is next time I pass by I may just have to be late on my second stop because I’m not passing this place on a day they’re open. I’ll make the next delivery but there’ll be a little steak sauce on my mustache. I’ll just have to wear a button that says, “Not bleeding, just had the best cheesesteak...

I had shrimp cocktail which were still somewhat frozen but warm on the outside, obviously heated up in hot water. Wife and aunt had hog maw with chewy disgusting maw and way undercooked vegetables. I also had gross rubbery wings that look and taste like they were cooked in a microwave, and without a doubt the worst long island and old fashioned I've ever had in my life. 🤢 I'm not one to complain about food, but this was some of the worst food I've ever had at a restaurant!
I must say that my uncle had a burger was solid, my fried pickles were delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere pretty cool. I may give this place another shot if I'm in the area again because I can't imagine that they would have so many good reviews if the food was...
