Went there today for lunch and almost everything that all of us ordered was terrible! I had shrimp cocktail which were still somewhat frozen but warm on the outside, obviously heated up in hot water. Wife and aunt had hog maw with chewy disgusting maw and way undercooked vegetables. I also had gross rubbery wings that look and taste like they were cooked in a microwave, and without a doubt the worst long island and old fashioned I've ever had in my life. 🤢 I'm not one to complain about food, but this was some of the worst food I've ever had at a restaurant! I must say that my uncle had a burger was solid, my fried pickles were delicious, the service was great, and the atmosphere pretty cool. I may give this place another shot if I'm in the area again because I can't imagine that they would have so many good reviews if the food was consistently terrible.

The Kempton Hotel in Kempton, Pennsylvania is especially unique just down Toe tapping home cooking PA Dutch restaurant where my Ham steak that I had was cooked to perfection and May I add locally butchered from the area along with your traditional Pennsylvanian Dutch homemade potato filling that was That was out of this world friendly staff with such Great owners with a Victorian historical charm as I also had to drinkvery old-school Pabst blue ribbon that was ice cold and very thankful on draft with an ice cold water with a fresh lemon in it as this is my first time here I am very well pleased with the service at a time just remember those this is not fast service it’s home-cooked Meal as this is very clean please too and they have a dining room and a full bar to both separate thank you for making my Sunday an awesome one

The Kempton Hotel Restaurant was a completely awesome experience! The small town atmosphere of the restaurant and bar was really cool and we are already planning a trip back to Kempton for the 150 year celebration. Once we ordered our food in the restaurant, we walked through the bar area to look at the painted mural on the ceiling. Local and American history scenes cover the entire ceiling. After chatting with a couple of the locals, we sat down and ate our meal. Really loved the cheese fries with cheddar and bacon. Also enjoyed the pork and sauerkraut, a Pennsylvania Dutch favorite. Exceptional food for a great price. Our waitress was professional, friendly and told us a little about the history of the hotel. What a great place just a short drive from Kutztown University.

It’s 9F and windy. I’m loading my feed bags off the dock at Albright’s Mill. I’m cold and hungry, so is my dog Fifty-Fifty. Fifty barks and motions toward the Hotey. I agree and we maneuver to the front and I go on for OUR take-out lunch picnic. The barkeep was real nice with a big smile. She got me a cheesesteak and fries and a hunk of American for the pup. Maybe it’s the weather, maybe cause I didn’t have time to stop when I drove by last week, maybe cause it was just so…. But every bite of that cheesesteak was sumptuous. The ratio of fries to steak was perfect, alternating bites. Even the Coke was the best fountain Coke I’d had in weeks. All I can say is next time I pass by I may just have to be late on my second stop because I’m not passing this place on a day they’re open. I’ll make the next delivery but there’ll be a little steak sauce on my mustache. I’ll just have to wear a button that says, “Not bleeding, just had the best cheesesteak...
