My husband and I decided to give this little place a try as to get away from our more frequented pub. It appeared as though a lot of friends meet here after work to discuss religion & politics (a huge 'no-no' where we come from). While that day, the topic was Catholics & child-raping priests, I kept my views silent as being Catholic myself. (Don't get me wrong, I understand opinions & I agree its wrong what SOME Priests have done.) I met a friendly 'bar fly' who entertained me with remarks on the other frequent flyers. The food I saw come out of the kitchen was in great amounts that filled each plate. However the Asian woman behind the counter failed to smile & didn't greet anyone with a friendly gesture. While a man tempted to put money in the juke box, he was haulted by another man who appeared to be running the pool tournament. His reason was, 'I can't concentrate when that thing plays.' I found this quite disturbing as I, being a pool player myself, know that other patrons may enjoy music over a babbling drunken woman cutting down politicians, the Albany Police Dept & Catholic perishers. This was so disturbing that my husband and I left and didn't return. We strive for friendliness, loud music & nice felted tables to shoot pool & enJoy a nice cold beer to end our day/week. This, for...
Read moreI'm vegetarian so I ordered Vegetable Szechuan. IT WAS 99% CELERY!!! YUCK! Who does that!? The other 1% was carrot. It was a full price meal! They totally just cut up an entire bunch of celery, and one carrot. So lame. I don't even like celery! I usually ask them to leave it out! What would they have made if I requested "no celery"?! Instead of throwing it away, I took it home and sautéed an onion, more carrot, cabbage, and broccoli, tossed in some coconut milk and cashews, and I actually STILL did not like it, because it had CELERY! YUCK! I've never complained about my food at a restaurant, but this was so absurd and wrong, I actually wish I could go back in time and gripe about it the moment I saw it. DO NOT order this dish. Maybe they have ok "bar food" like fries or whatever, but don't go here expecting a...
Read moreGood chinese food. Usually really busy so there is sometimes a struggle to get the one person working the bars attention when trying to pick up a phone order or to try and order food. The bar tender/waitress did an incredible job considering there was not room at the bar and most of the tables were full. They should hire 2 people for the front of house and that's why I gave 3 stars for service. Not because the bartender/waitress did a bad job she was just doing the work of 2 people there was over 30 people in the bar. So she did amazing considering the amount of people she was serving...
