Great stop for quick breakfast on a rainy day. (Recent update 3/31/22 went back for the biscuits and gravy and they were great! Had a wonderful taste and the biscuits were huge! Super delicious hash browns and sausage patty this time too. My friend and agree, best sausage patty, best biscuit, and best hash browns in Stanly County are all right here.) Lovely ladies serving, good hometown feel. Definitely worth checking out if you're in the area and love a small diner. I had two eggs over medium, toast, crispy hashbrowns and a half & half tea. Food came quick. I only had 20 minutes and was in and out in 15 (I'm also a fast eater and this was a rainy Wednesday morning). Hashbrowns were PERFECT! She did a great job making them "crispy". Eggs were great. Toast was a little thicker than other diners in the area and I liked it! The sweet tea is that different kind of sweet tea that to me has a funny taste. It's used a lot in Stanly county so I'm sure others like it, but I don't recommend it personally. I can't tell if it is the tea or the sugar they use. It reminds me of the taste of the sugar on those bubble gum candy cigarettes I had as a child...so I am assuming it's the sugar they use. As I was leaving they pulled out some fresh biscuits. I don't think they were from scratch but they looked quite yummy. That may be my next try. Super affordable breakfast coming in at a whopping 4.00 so I tipped well and left with a full belly and a smile. I'll be back for sure!

It was my granddaughters 5th birthday and we decided to have breakfast before school. She walked in and everyone greeted her and told her Happy Birthday. We ordered our food and at least 3 ladies came by and talked to my granddaughter. The food came out my egg was perfect and it was hot and tasty. A few mins later we were greeted by a tiny stack of pancakes with a candle and the ladies sang Happy Birthday. My granddaughter was one happy 5 year old.. The place is a little older but the kindness and friendly atmosphere more than makes up for it. It was my 1st time there but it won’t be my last.

I’m not from Albemarle so today I had to work Albemarle I do healthcare transportation 6 AM in the morning 630. Little lady I was taken to dialysis didn’t have breakfast and I said well I can stop and get you something. You gotta eat before you so I googled winks that’s what she wanted. I did not know they did not take debit cards but let me tell you the hospitality I got in that place this morning was unbelievable. The girl says well you can come back and pay later, even after I told her I wasn’t from here, so the gentleman sitting by the register payed for her food thank you I didn’t think people did that anymore so freaking awesome but needless to say I’ll be in Albemarle all day so hopefully I can get by ATM and swing back in there and pay for my food and maybe for the gentleman food tomorrow for him to pass it forward because it was a blessing for The lady she had to eat before she went to dialysis so a big shout out thank y’all!!! If This is the hospitality, Albemarle throw out I’m moving to...
