Sk8 City and Entertainment — Attraction in Albemarle

This place is dangerous for little kids. Specially during the time that they do the group games where they whack kids with a pool noodle and allow children/adults to push one another. Granted their walls are not even padded. My daughter was pushed, almost broke her wrist/arm and left with a bleeding lip because some lunatic pushed her into the wall. Please discontinue doing games that put children's life at risk and compromise safety. It only takes one child to seriously get injured for people to learn some activities are not safe, particularly when you have brick walls and not padded walls like most...

My kids always have a great time going here! The staff is super friendly and I love the time they take out of each night to reach out and give the glory for each day back to God! I always feel my kids are 💯 safe when going here which is not something we see much of anymore at other places! Keep up the amazing ministry and amazing atmosphere! I didn’t really like how it was ran years ago with previous owners, the new owners have really turned the place around and got rid of a lot of the rif raf that was going on and that was making the place an bad environment for kids and adults. Came here with my 5yo to try to have a lil evening fun. Intended to keep him up a little past his bedtime, but 15min after arriving they stopped all skating for a religious moment. If we'd been warned at the door, we wouldn't have bothered wasting our time. Didn't appreciate being accosted trying to leave during it either. Also I couldn't even get a pair of skates in my size that weren't novelty. No metal trucks and as an experienced derby skater, this was a huge disappointment.
