Taco King 2 — Restaurant in Albert Lea

Went in for Taco Tuesday. Got three crispy tacos, as that's what I was craving, and the gent was SUPER nice. Tacos were ordered, rung up and handed to me all within about 5 minutes. Condiments were included, it felt very "Taco Truck" like, but had that Southern home feel because of the store.

The only thing I wish was different, and this is entirely personal preference, that my chips weren't drenched with cheese sauce. Had I known that was their common practice, I would have asked them to keep it, so I could have my five tortilla chips without them being soggy from a 10 minute drive home. The portions could be a little larger, too, but all in all, GREAT tasting food, just the portions are way off for $11.

Jose Campos the owner assumed I didn’t know what Mexican food is because I look Caucasian, immediately asked if I had been there, and when I said no he pointed to the pictures and said u can choose from there. I told him I know I what I’m ordering I don’t need pictures.

Then, there was no specifics about what meat was included with the California Burrito. So we chose steak. On their menu inside it specifically says YOUR CHOICE OF MEAT. We were charges 16$ for a California burrito that wasn’t even legit ! I’m from California and I’m sorry to say but y’all don’t know what a tru California burrito is. Feels like you stepped into another world leaving whatever you knew as normal behind. I had the Supreme burrito and they did not disappoint! Service was welcoming and polite and the music in the background was literally background music, not too loud but you can make it out if you focused on it. Conveniently located near the Walmart and laundry facility across the street. You can get your detergent, wash your clothes and have a nice meal all in walking distance ;).
