Myself and coworkers love Garcia's and order pickup from Garcia's once a week for breakfast or lunch from the Coors and La Orilla location . It is a bit frustrating each time we pick up an order there is always something missing/incorrect. So we thought maybe speaking with a manager will avoid one of us to having to drive back to the restaurant to pick up what was missing or to correct there mistake. I called today and spoke to the manager Charlie and explained my past experiences and why I am asking him to take my order to hope that this would avoid any missing /incorrect orders. His response was "sure I can take your order " I get back to the office with my order and notice 2 of my items we missing from both lunch plates, I called spoke to Charlie again and let him know again the order was missing 2 items that were suppose to be part of our lunch plate. He said his was on a "Teleconference" call and said "wow something simple that they forgot to add to my order". Never did he apologize and ask to give me some type of credit to my account, because we did pay for our order in full and did not get the order complete nor did he offer any compensation. I did not drive back to get the items that we missing because it is such an inconvenience at this point. We defiantly love the food Charlie but the customer service needs improvement and we expected this from...
Read moreSo first time at this location; 5 minutes wait 👍🏻. Drink order taken promptly but no spoon for coffee. Waitress comes to take order; we have 1 order of fried eggs well done with yolks broken and another order of eggs just well done. I’m asked if I want the yolks broken, I say no. So waitress says don’t break yolks I say yes, that’s correct…..and we repeat this exchange 3 times. We wait….and we wait…..and finally the food comes. The eggs come out over easy…….by the way we are not dealing with a language barrier here. I send them back and she comes over and is argumentative about it. So now we are sitting there and we as a group STILL have no flatware and have to ask for it. She brings the eggs back out and they are correct. She comes over later and asks if the eggs are ok. We are now 3/4 of the way through the meal when someone finally comes over and offers drink refills. Business was steady but not what I would call hopping for a post church hour Sunday. The wait staff and bussers had ample time to just stand around behind the take out counter. This is definitely my last visit to this location; thankfully this is not indicative of the caliber of the other...
Read moreThis was our family’s neighborhood go-to place for New Mexican food for years. Both the food and the service have gone downhill in the past year or so. The salsa isgood, but the red chile has been watery, orders are not always correct, ground beef and chicken sometimes taste old/leftover, sopapillas are too greasy. They’re getting skimpy with their chili when smothering(not) enchiladas, burritos, etc-a chile lover’s pet peeve🌶. One day they actually gave us broken up stale taco shells instead of making tortilla chips to go with the ‘chips’ and salsa we ordered. (No complimentary chips and salsa here, but the salsa is good.) Green Chile cheeseburger is pretty good, too.
We’ve tried again several times in the past year and it hasn’t improved. I don’t know what has changed at this location of the family-owned Garcia’s. Is it poor management, quality control, unhappy servers, new cooks...? I just know it’s been very disappointing. We now drive much further to Duran’s, Los Cuates, or Padilla’s for our chile fix and El Modelo for take out. (What happened, Garcia’s on...
