I’m so used to buying whatever brands of carne seca they sell at Smith’s that I forgot what it’s supposed to taste like! Just stopped in on a whim and I’m so happy I did. Bags of popcorn and red chile chips are front and center, and bags of jerky line the perimeter of the store. I was initially sad they didn’t have a red and green chile combo, but I bought both and the red is definitely a winner! The bags were reasonably sized and I got a very decent amount for $5 a bag. If you’re in the area (or not), stop by Garrett’s for affordable, fresh, crispy but not brittle, flavorful carne seca! The Mexican soft drinks were reasonably priced, as well. I don’t remember the last time I hadn’t felt price-gouged (probably pre-pandemic), so thank you! šŸ„©šŸŒ¶ļøšŸ˜‹

If you're looking for the best jerky in the whole galaxy... look no further...🤣🤣🤣now that I have your attention,. this jerky spot is 1 of the best we've been too in a long time. Thin, crispy and flavorful, our personal favorite, teriyaki..give it a shot whenever you're in the area.. Garrett's Brown Bag Jerky "Get you sum"šŸ˜‰šŸ˜Š

I first went october first, and since then I went october tenth, an october seventeenth, very, very good jerky i don't understand why they have two different kinds in the same bag the one on the bottom it's the same at all so before you leave check your bad I am very disappointed

Garretts Brown Bag beef jerky is the best in town. The green chile Jerky as well as the hot stuff flavors are my favorites but all flavors are delicious and flavorful. I had the best experience trying samples that were offered by the owner and his family. The customer service is above excellent. The attentiveness to our experience during our time inside of this business surpassed my expectations and exceeded any previous experience I have had in the past with any local Jerky Businesses in Albuquerque. This will be mine and my families go-to jerky business for years to...

Salt salt salt. Did I mention salt, because there is a lot, a ton of salt. Somthing has changed, because there is soooooooooooo much more salt now days. I have consistently gone here for going on two years, but each batch across 3 different flavors for the past 3ish months have been salty as heck. It has never been like this. We literally have to brush off every piece in order for it to be edible. The salt is in insane amounts. I don't know what they changed, but I always assumed it was just an "off" batch. Nope, it's consistent now. Salt. Sooo...
