McDonald's — Restaurant in Alcoa

1 Star only bc i cant put 0!!! Shut the place down!! Awful, DISGUSTING, Incompetent, to say the least. I have been going to this McDonald's off and on when its convenient for 11 YEARS!!!! And every time but 1 has been bad but tonight was The WORST service I've EVER had here.. Their manager (some short girl) was playing in the mop bucket and trash cans changing everything out, sweeping, moping, and splashing dirty brown water EVERYWHERE!! She then stops doing that to start grabbing bags and putting different orders together (one of which was ours). Never washing her hands b4 handling food.. NONE OF THEM WORE GLOVES! Me and my husband politely addressed the issue and asked to have a remake OR refund and told them bc of her not washing her hands after handling all that stuff. So waited forever for the second time now. She "sanitized" her hands.. then gave us our remake order. Checked the burger before we left bc SOO many times our order is constantly messed up.. and Go figure it didn't have anything on it except buns, meat, and sauce!!! None of the rest the stuff that goes on it! So we had to give it back again to b remade again correctly..!! Wait forever, get it back, and it looked disgusting!! U could see the girls finger prints and everything on it! Hell I watched her take her fingers and bend the bun up to look in it when we gave it back to her.. I thought she had threw it away but very obviously did not! And she blocked the make line with bags so I couldn't see it this time!!! We finally said forget it and nicely asked for our money back this time.. she wasn't sincere at all with her apology.. you could tell she didn't care at all.. even after 3 different times keeping our cool and being polite about it after they/she was SSOOO DISGUSTING AN quiet frankly rude to us and not caring at all about what had happened.. I should've been raising hell the first time she tried to even give us the food! I completely agree with previous comments on this place service sucks, needs health dept to shut down, won't b back, rude, nasty tea/food...!!! Only ONE TIME have I been here and was satisfied.. we had to wait a while (drive thru) but bigger blonde middle age woman was very nice and compensated us for patiently waiting too! Food was very fresh and so hot I burned my mouth. But like I said... that was ONE TIME IN 11years!!!...

If there was a ZERO star rating…. The Topside McDonald’s would receive it. It’s truly unbelievable how bad things here are. EVERY TIME I come by this location something isn’t working. 9 times out of 10 there are multiple issues. They were out of Diet Coke for about 2 weeks at one point, AND I can never get a caramel frappe because “the machine is down”. What is going on?!? I do not know who owns this particular franchise but your business is being ran TERRIBLY. This isn’t once or twice but this is over a 9 month period. It’s a running joke in our household about wasting gas to visit your store only to go to Subway across the street (when we should have went to another burger place to begin with).

Today, I thought I’d give it a second try and had my mother in law pick up a McFlurry, a “new” spicy crispy chicken sandwich, and 2 other meals. She joked that the machine probably wouldn’t be working and guess what…… it’s NOT working AGAIN!!

As for this “crispy” chicken sandwich…. It was soggy and had ZERO of the sauce the commercials and online pictures claim. I was furious. I threw it in the trash 🗑. If I had been the one to pick it up I would have turned around immediately & DEMANDED a refund on ALL OF MY FOOD as I am not going to waste another dollar on food from this HORRIBLE location that clearly DOESN’T CARE about it’s customers.

I live just a few miles from this Topside location but I’ll just drive 20 minutes out of my way for quality food from a different establishment. I’m blown away by this locations CONSISTENCY for BAD food and lack of EFFORT.

However, there was a very nice young lady who did try to accommodate the McFlurry request with ice cream and Oreo crumbs. She was very sweet and I do in fact believe she may need to be the new General Manager of this...

Absolutely terrible! They don’t deserve any stars at all. After sitting in the drive thru for what seemed like forever, with absolutely ZERO cars in front of me, I say into the speaker “HELLO…ARE YOU READY”?? And the rudeness I was met with was quite astounding. Some young punk was extremely rude over the speaker. I pull up to the window and sit and sit and sit….finally someone comes back and says to pull up to the next window. Where said rude young punk snatched my debit card out of my hand. I asked to speak to a manager. He refused and told me he was the manager; which I knew was a bold faced lie. I sat there and watched him, a young girl with dirty blonde hair in a bun and a young Hispanic girl laugh and make fun me. After waiting 20 minutes for 4 Carmel frap’s, 1 McGriddle and 1 biscuit and gravy, I finally pulled away. Got down the road, had no straws. Turned around and went back to get them. Totally ignored at the counter. I had to lean all the way over the counter and hollar at someone to help me. I get back out to the car and down the road and my McGriddle is not a McGriddle , it’s a plain biscuit which I am certain was done on purpose. I turned around and went back in. I tossed the biscuit on the counter and said “this is supposed to be a McGriddle”. I was verbally insulted and was named called by the young girl with dirty blonde hair.
