Joe's Trattoria — Restaurant in Aledo

If I could give a negative review I would. We recently moved close to Aledo and I absolutely love Italian food. We were excited after googling “restaurants near me”. The atmosphere is uncomfortable to say the least. The “dining room” was barely lit. My husband, I, and our 2 kids stood at the door for approximately 10 min with 3 different servers walking by. Not one told us it was seat your self. No sigh to seat your self. Waited 15 mins for drinks and another 67 mins for our dinner which was sad….kids were disappointed and I can’t blame them. I sent my food back right away. Shrimp Alfredo, shrimp was cold and rubbery and noodles were cold and stiff. My husband had pizza and when I tell you he will eat anything! The guy is not picky and never wants to turn food away. He had 1 piece, I’ve never seen him do that!! It sucks because we’re close to Aledo now and I would love to promote small business's but Joe’s Trattoria is absolutely horrible!!! I will never go back and I will tell everyone I know not to waste their money there. When the “manager” young blonde girl came out and asked what the issue was I told her about my food, offered for her to touch the shrimp and noodles because I’m obviously not eating it and she refused. She asked if I wanted anything else then rolled her eyes like she’s so use to this type of problem….it’s just disappointing because it’s a small town and I’m sure the family that owns it surely doesn’t operate this way right??? Waitress was extremely rude and snotty. Dirty glasses are the norm here as she informed us “it’s from the towels they use to dry them “ which I believe is actually a health code violation. After pointing out the dirty cups, she proceeded to ignore our entire presence, never refilled any cups, left our dirty app plates, and served EVERYONE in the restaurant (that had all come in AFTER us). We go to walk out, after 40 minutes of waiting for food, to pay for our apps to see all of our entrees under the food warmer being purposely ignored. The owner did not seem to mind his employees attitude problem or treatment of the customers (we watched her be extremely rude to all the customer who entered, rolling eyes, snotty short rude answers to basic questions, etc.). He slammed our credit card down and said fine just go (vs letting us pay for the food we had received). Looked like they had ample employees standing around in the BOH and left the young inexperienced waitress to fend for herself. Sad excuse for a restaurant. Don’t waste your...

waited an hour and a half for pizza and place was empty. asked for a fork and refill after waiting 15 minutes i went up to counter to see what was going on and waitress was sitting on a food prep surface talking to the 6 staff members in the back and looked surprised i came up there. pizza came out cold somehow im guessing sat on the counter for a while. then food was not great. the small single topping we ordered sausage had 5 pieces of sausage on it and a tombstone pizza had...
