Burger King — Restaurant in Alexandria

I am patient and understanding as I spent many a year in fast food. My first job way back when, was at BK. That was when they actually had service. Without service there is no food.

RUN AWAY !! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE! We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat. First thing to notice was there was NO MENU !! Nothing. Nada. I may know basically what I want, but I still like to browse other items and see PRICES ! None of that was available.

Second - NO EMPLOYEES TO BE SEEN ! After a coupla minutes, I walked to the other end of the counter and saw someone in the back. He hollered there was somebody up front. Somebody answered back, didn't hear what they said. We waited a coupla more minutes, then left and went to McDonalds across the street.

As we were leaving, we noticed a car was still pulled over in the DT, waiting for their food.

We go to McDonalds. They have a menu AND employees ! I sat by the window and watched the car in the BK drive thru. They FINALLY went inside. Still took them another 10 minutes to come out with their food! They left just as we were finishing up. We were at that exit about 25 minutes. So they waited AT LEAST 20 minutes. No telling how long they've been sitting there before we saw them.

This was an absolute disaster. Employees don't really care as long as they get paid. Why work harder if you get an hourly wage and get paid for only doing the barest of bare minimum. I do not see how this place can stay open much longer...

It's sad to see BK declining. Even the one on my hometown is painful to go to...

Okay. I'm probably gonna have to find another job after posting this, but whatever. So I just started working at this location almost a week ago and when I first came here, thought it would help build my resume. I'll cut this short. I wanted to build it up further by requesting to volunteer, meaning I would've most likely switched to part time. I was then told to wait Monday and talk to the person responsible for the scheduling to come back. Fast forward to today and I ask if the shift scheduler is there, and she wasn't. I then return to the manager's office to ask again about volunteering while working.

Here's where things get interesting. Before I could talk to her again, I overhear her yelling on her cellpcellphone about fighting someone else at 3:00p.m. (when she gets off). Then when I showed up, all of a sudden, she takes her anger out on me for no reason, saying that she doesn't care if I want to volunteer, and that I could just quit if I want. She acted just like your stereotypical black woman, completely unprofessional. I was pretty mad about the situation, especially after I once again overheard her talking about me to the scheduler.

After that, I was pretty melancholy for the rest of the day until the manager picked up on it and sent me home.

Aside from the poor attitude of the manager and the long wait times. This place wasn't all that bad. The other employees are great, and the food does taste good when it's...

The cashiers were friendly and polite HOWEVER I have been going there everyday for TWO WEEKS and they have been constantly out of cheesy tots. They advertise they sell them yet NEVER have them. I can understand being out of them for a few days but not 2 weeks. During a busy lunch rush their systems crashed after we stood there for 15 minutes waiting to order our food with only a 30 minute break. Finally we left. On a separate occastion my co workers and I ate inside. They were out of ketchup in the dispenset so I asked for packets. The MANAGER gave me 2 packs for a MEDIUM fry. I asked for more and explained I use alot of ketchup. She handed me ONE MORE pack and told me three packs were standard for a med fry. I told her I use alot because I don't like the fries plain and I should be allowed more free ketchup for the price I paid for my food. She refused to give me more. That is ridiculous. Everytime I go to this location they are ALWAYS out of something or there is an astronomical wait time. The only reason I go to this location is because it is the closest thing to the airbase (where I work) to eat. Everything else is too far to travel to and from in 30 minutes. I don't like McDonald's unfortunately it's my only other option during lunch. I will BOYCOTT this location from...
