El Chile Poblano — Restaurant in Alexandria

I have been a regular customer for many years and have noticed the service and quality of food is going down hill. On last visit we were packed in like sardines even though most of the restaurant was empty. I guess server didn't want to walk too far. We ask for water twice to two different servers and never received it. None of the tables were given water and everyone was having to ask for it. Have no idea why they stopped serving water to customers to go with hot salsa and tortilla chips. More glasses to wash I guess. My tortilla was burnt and the steak in my taco salad was like shoe leather. When we were leaving and the young man at register asked me how everything was I told him we were very disappointed with the food and service and he set his phone down and said " I really don't care." I should have asked for a manager but realized there was no point because with this poor of service and attitude we will never be back. The Ranchero Poblano in Chesterfield is ten times better in quality...

Tonight must have been an off night... I have always had good food and service. Been going here for years. Tonight my 9yr old got a cheeseburger and fries, took forever for the waitress to bring her ketchup, and then my daughter says her cheese burger tasted funny, and was red in the middle... It was not done.. I told the waitress, she offered to take it back to cook a little longer, I said no, just take it off my bill. . I got the Pollo loco and shrimp, it was good besides they failed to put the cheese on it... when the waitress brought me my bill, she didn't take the bloody cheeseburger off, I didn't argue, I just paid for it... Went to pick up our families order, got it with no problem. However I get home an we realized we were not given our Medium 16oz salsa that we ordered. I go back up to the restaurant and the cashier stated it should have been in my bags. I informed her we double checked but it's hard to miss a cup of salsa especially a 16oz cup. She proceeded to argue that it was in the bag, I was then offered to buy another 16oz salsa as if I were lying. Our family frequently eats and or orders from here and we are displeased with our service today.
