I’ve lived my whole life just outside of New York City, and over the years I’ve been in the Duncansville area visiting family I’ve eaten at many different pizza restaurants looking for a place that holds up to the traditional New York pizza I’m accustomed to. I can now say with absolute certainty that Brooklyn Deli has the best pizza around by far. From beginning to end our visit to Brooklyn Deli was a great one. We were at the restaurant on a Friday and even though it was quite busy our food was ready and served to us very quickly. Once we tried the pizza it was clear that this place was head and shoulders above the other pizza places in the area. We tried their buffalo chicken pie as well as the Bada Bing, which was a combination of different Italian meats and veggies. Both pies were absolutely delicious. The crust was crispy on the bottom but still a bit chewy and tender inside just like a good New York pizza should be. The sauce and toppings were very flavorful and everything tasted extremely fresh. Overall I can’t say enough about how pleasant of an experience we had, from the atmosphere to the work of the wait staff and chefs to the quality of the meal everything was truly top notch. I now know exactly were I’ll be getting my pizza next time I’m in Duncansville and I can’t wait to try all of the other items...
Read moreLet's start with slimy lunch meat. Then move into stale bread. That was for me and thank you so much for ruining 2 days, one with bad food and service and today with an irritated stomach that has me wanting to call off. The second problem was the amount of grease dripping off my sons small pizza. It ran off in a stream not even drips. Then the consistency of the dough wasnt right which had burnt spots, undercooked spots. The service was frustrating. Attitude from the get go and then when your website wouldn't allow to order extra I put it in the note section. I know its getting complicated... anyways I had to ask for the ranch for times being lied to twice saying it would be in there. Then after being lied to I had to pay 1 dollar for each container on top of my 55 dollar bill. Ah that's not the point the fact that I get home and their is discoloration in my ranch as if someone spit it in it or altered it. So we couldn't enjoy it. This will be the last time we'll be back and only step after this is a report to Bbb. Doh and...
Read moreCalled and placed an order Brooklyn Deli was told 20-25 minutes, waited that amount of time plus a little longer. Went in, PAID, then the girl proceeds to turn around to get my order and another guy turned around and said someone said it was already made. Not one person there had the common courtesy to say sorry or they have to remake your subs, it will be a few minutes. Not one time did any one of those workers inform me of what was going on. It was my job as the customer to even approach the worker about it & say what happened? Did they have to remake them? Instead they worry about conversating with one another in the corner. Again, completely disregarding me in every manner possible. It was so extremely unprofessional and disrespectful. If they can't value you as a customer, and even take 30 seconds to apologize, I don't feel they should be worthy...
