Overall FANTASTIC experience! I already provided this āfeedā-back in person so no need to fret!
Atmosphere gives a modern and simple twist with black and dark wood accents with a simple and elegant lay out. I sat in the booth during the day and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The tables have mini traditional wood games to spark some friendly competition, but also encourage engagement with the company infront of you, which is a super thoughtful touch! The music is a hybrid of traditional Indian music and Lofi quickly asks Sirisha to pull out Shazam again, a wonderful touch.
Food: PHEW, thank God I stopped by! I was on my way running errands and the Spirit took over. Ask me if Iām mad about it? (Fun fact, Iām not lol) Their menu is EXTENSIVE but within range. āBurgers and Curriesā is one hell of a combo so I went out on a limb and tried the Chicken Tikka Burger. Great presentation, full of flavor, and freshly made to order, I would absolutely consider this a staple as it wow-ed me on first bite. I did offer the constructive criticism that I would have liked to have a little more chicken, however, I donāt regret my choice AT ALL! I upgraded and got the Cajun Fries. The fries lean on the thicker side, which isnāt my personal favorite. The seasoning could have been more prominent, but otherwise they were good! Overall, especially given I was living on a prayer, I am absolutely satisfied with my choice! I cannot wait to come back and try the other items as well! Fun fact: They have a lunch buffet that has a ton of their menu items so if you want to try a little bit of everything, thatās the way to go!
Service: I was immediately greeted upon entry and the whole staff acted as a team to make sure I was taken care of! My server was kind, polite, friendly, and made sure I was satisfied. Because the food is made to order, thereās of course a healthy wait time but nothing past a norm. They also have this cute little robot that brings food to tables which for me as a person fascinated by the little things, was neat!
My first time experience was great and I would...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBurgers & Curries is the sort of cultural compromise that pleases no one with taste. It manages to offend both the sanctity of Indian cuisine and the dignity of a proper Western meal, all while operating in a space that looks like a strip-mall afterthought.
Before stepping inside, the scene is tellingādiscarded soda cups rolling in the wind, greasy paper bags flattened into the pavement, and the only ālandscapingā consisting of two dying potted plants flanking the entrance like exhausted sentries. This is not curb appeal; it is curb abandonment.
The interior is an exercise in visual confusion: faux brick walls, plastic tableware, and a menu board that tries too hard to be clever. The air smells like a confused marriage of cumin and burned hamburger greaseāneither of which invites confidence.
The burgers themselves are clumsy, over-seasoned concoctions with patties that look as though they were shaped in a hurry by someone distracted. The curries? Watery, overly salted, and lacking the depth that comes from real slow cooking. In my upbringing, a proper curry was an act of devotion; here it is ladled like soup in a canteen line.
The clientele treat the place like a food courtāchildren darting between tables, loud video calls at full volume, and the occasional diner barefoot in their chair. One does not come here expecting refinement, but the utter absence of decorum is still jarring.
Burgers & Curries is neither a celebration of fusion nor a testament to tradition. It is a compromise made for those who have forgotten what good foodāand good presentationāactually mean. As my grandfather would say, āA man who tries to stand in two boats will sink...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUPDATED: I came by to order late in the evening on a Wednesday and ordered butter chicken and white rice. The establishment took my advice on what "mild" is and it is GLORIOUS! My wife and I absolutely love this place now.
Also, the hostess was very kind and even brought the food out to us while we waited in the car. :)
Thank you!
For the past few months, I was riding my bike past this location waiting for them to open. Then the day finally arrived.
In this review, pls note that my wife and daughter aren't accustomed to Indian cuisine. They are sensitive to spicy food. They wanted a very mild spice to their food. I asked for "mild" without knowing what they considered mild. We got the Curry Chicken, fried rice and Buffalo burger. Unfortunately, the food was too spicy for my wife/daughter. Additionally, the fried rice was way too salty.
As for me, I have some tolerance to spicy food and absolutely loved loved loved the curry chicken. That was probably the juiciest chicken I've had in years. It was perfect. The Buffalo burger was also very good. Though I did feel that the fried rice had too much salt.
Since my wife and daughter didn't enjoy the experience, I couldn't give 5 stars, but I will definitely return and I recommend to anyone who enjoys Indian food.
If you want my wife and daughter back, do two things: trim the salt content down in the fried rice and have a "very very very mild" or "no spice" option...
