I visited this starbucks around 6pm last night. Sometimes you just know it's going to be a bad experience before you even place an order. I only wanted a cup of coffee, and I could see behind the counter that the coffee carafe was blinking red which is an indicator that the coffee has been sitting there for at least 30 minutes and a new pot should be made. I was still going to order the regular coffee, hoping the light only just began to blink. There was one person in front of me in line and once they left I waited and waited at the counter. Employees were busy behind the counter making drinks for drive-thru but it took a few minutes for someone to even acknowledge me. When my order (coffee with a side of half and half) was at last taken, I was spoken to in a very hurried manner without any friendly tones (something I've regularly encountered from a particular person who works here). It was then delivered to me at the pick-up counter and the lid on the half and half wasn't actually on the cup and popped right off into my hand as I tried to pick it up. The coffee was old but bearable. A previous visit I ordered a cup of coffee and it was filled so high that when I took it from the barista the lid also popped off then and hot coffee spilled over and burned my hand causing me to drop the cup on the floor. The convenience factor is what brings me into this location but I've had many issues with the customer service and beverage problems that I wouldn't recommend it. I've frequented the tilghman st starbucks for over five years and I would say it's in the last two years that I've noticed a decline in service. I will say that I only go to Starbucks in the late afternoon/evening due to my work schedule, and it would seem many reviewers had positive experiences with the morning crew. I also agree with those who have spoken about the ever-changing hours of operation. I no longer go here expecting it to be open. When I went in last night it looked they could have been closing up with the lack of coffee on brew and the bakery items piled high for inventory(?) or cleaning out (?). Lehigh St and Hamilton Blvd Starbucks have been much better IMO for friendliness...
Read more-So… i go to Starbucks today 08/08/2021 Placed my order at the drive thru : 2 strawberry and cream Frappuccino and a venti brown sugar shaken espresso! I wait 15 minutes to get my drink done and i get both Frappuccino strawberry funnel instead ( the wrong drinks was even made wrong 😅 the drinks are supposed to be brown but it was white for some reason ( as if the barista made a vanilla bean Frappuccino ) but add some strawberry syrup in the cup . I pay for my order with a $50 bill and my total is $17 and some change and i only get 2 dollars and some change back . -I asked to redeem some of my stars they take the stars and my total is still the same!!! employees are having a personal conversation laughing and I’m still waiting for my drinks to be made . I ask them to refund me for my drinks because i no longer want to wait because they’re busy talking and not working. I was told by the cashier if I don’t like it just leave 😅i reply I’m when you give me a refund first and give me my money back so i wait another 5 minutes to be refunded…. And finally the supervisor decided to come to the window and say that they are new and still under training … I replied well train them or write a paper on the drive thru that there will be a half an hour to an hour wait for your drink to be ready and it’s up to the customer to wait or leave…. Note:I worked in Starbucks for 2 years in the BWI airport inside the terminal ( which is crazy busy) as a supervisor and i was trained and told that working for Starbucks is all about great customer service, friendly smiley faces, meet customer expectations and give them great experience and a reason to come back and drinks recipe should always taste the Same every time you make it (now you walk into most Starbucks and the same drink taste different!) Why is that?? Working for Starbucks always required a great leader and a great qualified employees to meet the expectations in order to make sure things are done right (the way it should be done and handled...
Read moreThis Starbucks is very convenient being right near Rt 309 and 78. I have been a customer here for years. Like all Starbucks stores, the coffee drinks and food quality are consistently above average. The restrooms are usually fairly clean. Is Starbucks a good value? Many would retort in the negative, however if you consider the complexity of many of the espresso based drinks and how much time and care goes into preparation and the taste and quality of the bakery items and breakfast and lunch items it is in my opinion worth the extra money to go Starbucks over any other coffee/food outlet. One thing I would suggest to them is to speed up the drive through process by looking at the process Dunkin uses as their drive up window is faster although their drinks and food items are less complicated and that may be the reason they are faster. Went there today and the drive thru was soo slow! Are there not enough employees? Is the manager not doing their job? Something is wrong. Starbucks regional management, if you are reading this you may want to examine what the issue is and perhaps fix it?? I just took away 2 stars. I have added a star as the drive thru wait time has improved. Just tried a Salted Cold Cream Cold Brew! What a different sensation! Very inventive drink. Five stars for this drink!! Thanks Starbucks. Had the Strawberry Açaí this afternoon. Wow! What a refreshing treat! Seem to be out of strawberries a lot lately. Management needs to monitor this a...
