My favorite place for a hamburger! Love it.people are very nice, the place is really clean, the guy there makes the fries exactly how I want them...perfect. Okay everyone so it's been 2 years and one of my most favorite foods is the fresh cut french fries and today I ordered them like I usually do no salt and lightly done because I don't like them dark and crispy well when I got them they were dark and they actually tasted like they were re-cooked old. So I asked for another batch cook the way I want them cooked and they made them the same way and I was just not satisfied again and here to find out from a very very nice girl Andrea that the fries are pre-cook three to four minutes first, lay there in the basket and then recook them when they're ordered so it doesn't take too long.!! The manager's face at that time was very unwelcoming and so that turned me off right there and they tried to tell me that's not how they were cooked before and I told them yesterday they most certainly were because I watched them and I thank the guy named Kenny who did it for me every time I came in. I did ponder on saying something but then after seeing the manager's face and it took them two tries and I got my money back that the people should know that the french fries are precooked before they get them and then refried and you could taste it. Last time I'm going there. And my suggestion for you all that if it's fresh cut french fries you want then ask them to make them from raw potatoes otherwise you're going to get recooked, dry inside...
Read moreI do not usually make reviews. I have had five guys on numerous occasions. I have also ordered from this five guys and ate in the restaurant multiple times. The food is usually fresh and great tasting.
First off usually the burger and fry bag is usually in another big bag and sealed with five guys red stickers. This was not present and the bag was wide open. This did not hinder me from eating the food but it causes safety concerns because no safety seal was present.
For whatever reason this delivery did not meet expectations on the burger end. I have to note I have NEVER had an issue with a five guys burger. A lot of meat has been getting recalled in the past month and food safety should be big concern. After a couple bites I noticed right away that something tasted off. The first thing I noticed was that the onions were super bitey and almost sour so I took them off. I then noticed the meat also tatsed off even the patty on the bottom that had not touched the onions. The slight sour taste of the meat was noticable to me right away as well as the smell. As someone who has worked in food service most of his life I just wanted to make you aware that the onions were probably on their last legs and the meat had probably started to turn. Rule of thumb is if something smells sour or has an off odor even a little bit throw it out.
Please be more careful...
Read moreMaybe it was an off day buy I paid 40 bucks for soggy food and half attempted flavored shakes.
The shakes I ordered was with Oreo and Carmel. There wasn't much Oreo and the Carmel tasted like vanilla still
The burgers were soggy and tasted average. I had gotten onions,BBQ sauce bacon burger. And my wife mushrooms mayo bacon burger. The burger meat tasted something out of Wendy's which I am not opposed to. What I'm opposed to is paying 10 bucks for a soggy Wendy's burger. For that I would just go to Wendy's and not worry about the food.
The fries were average, one can one reg both large The canjan actually was seasoned well but they were extremely soft. I prefer more crisp but I would've said something if I knew they were as soft as they were. But again that was the thing they're known for. I don't mind soft fries that are season fancy. I mind paying 6 bucks per fry for it to just be "fancy"
Again I could've gone to Wendy's, spent 20 24 bucks and gotten the same quality of food so I most likely will be going...
