Borsch House — Restaurant in Altoona

This was our family's first time not only at The Borsch House, but eating Ukrainian cuisine in general and all was wonderful!! Professional service, very clean facility, and the food was quite delicious, flavorful, and fresh. I appreciated that the menu included an explanation of each item, as these dishes were all new to me. I wasn't sure how my young, picky kiddos would do, but once I convinced them to try the food, they were pleasantly surprised. The Container Yard itself is a unique experience. There are restrooms, a drinking fountain, a decent amount of seating on the patio, a sand volleyball court, and air conditioned seating overlooking "the yard." We will be returning to The Borsch House in the future and definitely recommend...

The Yard is a unique food truck vibe walk-up with a handful of different "restaurant" options, and features open-air, covered, and even indoor, air conditioned seating. I tried the Borsch House and every menu item was excellent. If you've never had Borsch, you're not alone. This was the first time for me and it was so good.
