Moved to Altoona a few years back, so I needed to find another spot to get a pizza. Didn't wanna drive 20 miles down the road to go to my old spot. I'd say I critique pizza more than most, meaning, I will never call Domino's, Papa John's, Little Ceasers, ect... "Pizza." It's garbage. I consider pizza making an art... and NY/NJ produces a lot of masterpieces. With that being said, the best pizza I've ever ate came from those 2 places. I wanna get as close as I can to that perfection. If that's what your looking for too in Altoona, then I'd say get from Michael's! The crust is pretty good, u can fold it and it's not drooping at the end, but not so crispy that it splits. Sauce is decent, same with cheese and pepperoni! I don't get a pie from anywhere else! Also, their wings are really, really good too! Love the BBQ! The wings are cooked so that they're a little crispy, but moiste at...
Read moreI order from michaels quite frequently and until recently have never had an issue. I ordered 4 slices of pizza and was told it would be ready for pickup in 25 minutes. I got there about 25 minutes later and was told it would be a few more minutes. I sat there and waited another 20 some minutes and went back to the counter and asked the girl if she was sure she looked for the right order because mine should have been done over 25 minutes ago. She went back and pulled it from the oven and gave it to me. When i got home i was livid because it was burned and disgusting. When i told them upon my next visit what happened and showed them the pictures they said i should have called in and they would have remade it. Yeah that's exactly what i want to do after a hard day's work.....reorder the food i just waited almost an hour for, drive back across town and wait another...
Read moreThis was first visit since it changed hands. Nice clean interior and cool . Food came ina timely matter. But I bought a Chef’s Salad 🥗 and while the lettuce was fresh that’s about all that covered the plate. There was exactly one thin slice of lunch meat cut into four pieces, then one thin piece of cheese cut into four pieces and one larger pepperoni also cot into four pieces. These pieces were layered in four separate sections and placed at four corners of the large dish of plenty of lettuce. In the center was a medium sized piece of pepperoni holding a few slices of ripe olives. Nice looking but lacking much meat and cheese. Especially for $6.00 they need to add much more food to their salads. I can get more ina salad in any fast food restaurant, and do. No wonder there are never many...
