I have been coming here for many many years. I notice the owners were not there this time. The food service was terrible!!! Our waitress was very good and she was working very hard but every time she went to the kitchen to get the rest of our food order they would tell her to tell us it's coming. We waited an hour and forty-five minutes for two pancakes and two pieces sausage. I went to the cashiers twice to see about my grandson food and all she would say is we are very busy over and over again. They finally gave us my grandson food but they put it in a box to go and I was very very upset about them doing that. They wanted us to leave, but my grandson did not eat yet. I asked for a plate but they wanted to give me a small plate his food did not even fit on it. The whole thing was very upsetting to me. This is a small place that is simple, clean, and worn. The food is very good. It is a treasured local spot with "regular" customers. The refried beans are so rich and comforting that I could make a meal of them. The servers work as a team. Their care shines through. Breakfast menu is well rounded. All options are tasty and a great value. My faves on the dinner menu are chicken enchiladas, chili relleno, and potosina. They have a strong following for their large bowls of soups. I am allergic to cilantro - They remember my allergy and work with me to keep me safe. A "must go" if you are okay with a simple, no frills, quality, authentic fare. It is a "hole in the wall"...
