7.5.24-My first time here. The aroma of freshly baked conchas and pastries surround you as soon as you enter the shop. Friendly and welcoming staff. They have been here for 4 yrs or so. An expansion is happening at the moment to add a cafe. I think its a lovely plan. Anyways, I tried a Yellow butter concha, Vanilla filled turnover, Dulce leche turnover, sweet puff pastry and a pineapple jelly filled pastry. All are freshly baked daily and delicious. If Flakey airy light crumbs are what you looking for in puff pastry … you should come try theirs ! I came early in the morning to buy some pastries since my first time they ran out of some items in the afternoon. I was fortunate enough to get the fresh baked one from the oven, their guava jam filling was still warm. When I grab it with the tong the crumbs starting to break and that’s when I know I was in for a good treat! The guava puff pastry here is on-par with Porto’s, maybe less buttery than Porto but that’s not the comparison when these two place is on a different scale. Worth the trip for conchas. So, so, so yummy, fresh, light, not too sweet and fluffy inside, with the right amount of sweet craquelin topping. Choice of yellow (vanilla I think, but my favorite), white (vanilla) and brown (chocolate). Their bakery is open and looks extra clean (I love a clean kitchen).
