McDonald's — Restaurant in Anamosa

Absolutely horrible expirience. First, as I’m walking in through the front, a worker who looks as though to be a supervisor was walking out front lighting a cigarette. Sees me come in, puts out the cigarette and proceeds to take off his coat and put it on a box in plain site for guests to see. The gentlemen did not wash his hands and proceeded to take my order. I ordered a cheeseburger medium fry and a small soft drink. He then continues to handle the fry station and grab food for myself and the drive thru customers. Absolutely disgusting and unsanitary. After I placed my order I go and fill my drink and notice there is visible trash all over the counters, tables are filthy, ALL trash cans are full, and a stack of trays. I will never go to this location again. This is the second time I have had a very poor experience at this location around the same time a week ago. It is absolutely FILTHY. I honestly can’t believe OSHA has not investigated into this location based on how many had Google reviews it has. I am extremely dissatisfied and disappointed in this location. Finally, when I got my food the gentlemen threw his jacket back on and continued to smoke right outside the window where I’m sitting at. I will never be back unless I am ensured the situation has been taken care of. To top it off my actual burger patty was burnt? If I could give this place negative stars I would. First let me say I went here at 10:30 pm on a Tuesday night. No they were not busy. This is why I have an issue, 4 what I thought were employees were sitting on the side of the walkway. Not away from the entrance. You would have thought they would have at least sat by the other door that they locked. No, Shop) I stayed o.j. muy car on the phone to see how long they would stay. They waited for me to get close then 2 of them got up and went in. I was still in the phone to give both time to wash their hands. Which is policy. The lady who took my order is a manager and knows this. I got off the phone placed my order and waited. She started touching orders and I saw her grab a frappe cup on the top with her finger inside it. She put ice in it and syrup then set it down. She then proceeded to start touching food. I had to stop her. I asked her to wash her hands because she just came in from smoking and she didn't do it yet. Neither did the lady that went to the back. She left and addled a gentleman to come up and give me my food. He didn't have gloves on. I asked the young lady that had been in the drive thru food part to give me my food. Ok, usually there isn't a whole lot to say about a McDonald's. The food tends to be remarkably consistent, and good. This McDonald's was no different food-wise, but the reason I'm writing a review is because of an altercation between staff and a customer over some sauce that I witnessed. Basically, there was a customer who ordered an enormous amount of ranch sauce, because he knew that the kiosk was not charging for it. The staff member who called him out on it was not rude, but was emphatically stating that cost of those Ranch packets were going to come out of her paycheck. The customer informed her that he had been a supervisor at this very McDonald's for 5 years, and assured her that the cost of the ranch sauce would not come out of her paycheck.
